Our home

A lovely modest bungalow home with decks and sunrooms.
Lots of plantings and flower garden with dahlias 🙂
Free semi organic eggs and veges if you find some , all the fruit trees in season, should be lemons oranges and PLUMS round Christmas.

Maketu is the landing place of TeArawa waka, we are 5 minutes walk to Maketu Beach and Maketu estuary with pipis to eat.
Historical plaques around the walkways, gorgeous scenery.
A bike trail leads to Papamoa.
There's a cafe, fishing, surfing all a few minutes walk away.

Three little fluffy cuddly Shitzu/Poodles need a Mum or Dad for 5 days.
Also one old cat who is happy outside if her bowl is topped up.
6 horses and 2 foals and chickens live here but someone else will be looking after them.

We're in our 60s with kids spread around so need to get to them from time to time ... We love being in Maketu it's heavenly here but sometimes we have to leave !🙂

It was a pleasure to housesit for Briar and Albie whom were very welcoming and provided clear instructions and communication. The 3 dogs Panda, Maggie, Flame were just georgeous and were very good company. Minky the cat was friendly, turned up at feed times and then went back out exploring. The horses just required a bucket of feed in the evening. Their house was warm and comfortable with a spa to enjoy and also lovely gardens with an abundance of fruit trees and vegetables. I had a brilliant time at this housesit. Briar is so wonderful, excellent communication and I felt so welcomed and at home. The farm is beautiful and I enjoyed hanging out with and caring for all of the animals.
