Our home

We have a lovely 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2 living rooms, house in Huapai/Kumeu, Auckland, that requires a pet loving person or couple.
The bedroom has a queen size bed, room has a heater. The bathroom is down the hall. House has heat pumps.
There is a bus nearby if required. Supermarket, bars, cafes and shops very close.
We ideally want an ongoing petsitter, weekends and labour weekend Oct 2026. Sometimes it’s just the cats.

We have two cats, Spazly and Coco. Two dogs, a 8 year old Labrador and a 5 year old Bearded collie cross, Leo and Poppy. Suit someone who is comfortable with large dogs.
We require pet feeding twice a day, Cat litter box and dog poo picked up. Walking one of the dogs to a nearby park on lead.

Leo & Poppy are such loving, well behaved dogs. Easy to care for & happy to chill on out the sofa with us. The house is gorgeous! And very well set out for easy care of the dogs & cats. The three cats kept to themselves but we saw Coco a few times - easy care as they just needed food & water topping up. Helene left us really clear instructions for everything we needed to know. Communication was easy with a quick response for any questions. Not only is the house gorgeous & bed super comfy but ... MoreLeo & Poppy are such loving, well behaved dogs. Our experience at Helen and Len's house was beautiful. The dogs (Leo and Puppy) were very friendly with us, the cats (Possum, Coco and Spazly) are more shy, All of them were very easy to care for. The house is comfortable and beautiful. Helen and Len were always in contact, responding quickly every time that we asked them something and they made sure we were comfortable in the house from the first day. We highly recommend doing house sitting with them.
Roman and I had a wonderful ten weeks housesitting for Helene and Len in New Plymouth. Their dogs Leo and Poppy were always entertaining. Cats Spazley, Coco and Possum took some time to get comfortable with us but once they did, they were relaxed. The home itself is older, but has been modernised. The kitchen was a pleasure to use and the king bed was large and very comfortable. The garden needed little maintenance, just collected the leaves and mowed the lawns every few weeks.
