Our home

Our home is in a gated residential location overlooking a beautiful park and river. The area has some of the best riverwalks on hand right across the park.Super markets are around 2 kms away and cafes across the river or down the road about 1.25 km away.
Te Awa shopping mall and "The Base" are 2 kms away. The city is around 7 km and Chartwell around 3-4 km away. Hamilton gardens is 12 kms.

Ginny is a 14 year old ginger moggy. She knows what she wants and has carers for her every need.
If she isn't spoilt , she must be very close to being.

The property mostly looks after itself.
We do have some house plants.

We are retirees.We enjoy travel so require someone to care for our cat and home. We have chosen a home with lots to offer in a safe neighbourhood with plenty of walks and activities close by.

Important info

We have a swimming pool which is very easily maintained but with heavy rainfall it occassionaly requires a back flush to dump some extra water. Sometimes the surface requires manually skimming.I have a video instruction which is pretty easy to follow.

It was a privilege to look after Ginny the beautiful orange pussycat and Laurie & Libby’s comfortable home which was very clean and tidy. They are lovely welcoming, organised and wonderfully communicative. Ginny appreciates time spend together exploring the outdoors, bunting, cuddles, her special spot in the “👑 tower” upstairs and keeps your feet warm at night. Like always lovely to catch up with Laurie & Libby and look after Ginny. Communication is smooth, and I always feel welcomed and appreciated throughout my stay. A comfortable home and a perfect place to relax. Ginny is a beautiful red puss who loves to hang out when she’s not outdoors on her many adventures, ( she still climbs trees like a kitty😽). Ginny is an absolute pleasure to look after. She is independent and often out on adventures during the day, pops in regularly for strokes and head rubs + loves investigating the pretty colourful gardens together. Once again i loved my time here with Ginny. During the day she comes for a brush or stroke and having little chats or just for company. She likes strolling around the gardens, which were in full bloom, with all the colours of the rainbow very pretty. From the outset communication with Laurie & Libby was clear and easy. They are so lovely and welcoming and nothing is ever to much trouble. A comfortable home in a safe neighbourhood. Very relaxed. They have an amazing Christmas lights display ... Is this well written? Libby and Laurie have been exceptional making us feel at home. Their house was very comfortable with everything that we needed. The tasks required were simple. Ginny, their furry one, was very easy to look after. She was a bit shy in the beginning, but as soon as she got more comfortable around us, she became a very good company. We are very grateful for their availability. Would definitely recommend them.

I absolutely love pet/house sitting for Laurie & Libby. They are lovely and easy to communicate with. Ginny is a sweetheart once you get to know her and I love her company. She likes to be outdoors, but also really appreciates cuddles and attention when she's ready. So many pretty flowers. The house is well kept and comfortable. Always a pleasure, thank you for having me L & L and G. Highly recommended.

Such a pleasure to return and look after the sweethearts for the third time. Always great communication and instructions from the home owners from the get-go. It was a real pleasure to meet Laurie & Libby a lovely couple. They explained everything well and left clear documentation. The communication was good all the way. Tessa and Ginny were a absolute pleasure to look after, both so lovely and smoochy. Tessa loves sleeping on your lap and is a real karakter, Ginny likes her strokes and attention whenever she has finished checking out her territory outside, comes to say hello in the morning so sweet.
