Our home

Hi there,
We live in a quiet valley within the boundary of Havelock North. A short 10min walk to Te Mata Park and 25mins walk or 3min drive to the central village. The house is on 3 acres of land and we have a handful of low maintenance animals.

We are needing a responsible person or couple to sit our little family of animals. We require someone to look after our house, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 1 rabbit, 7 guinea pigs, 12 chooks, 2 pigs, 4+ sheep.

Michael & Emma are experienced with having housesitters and had a very comprehensive illustrated instruction folder which was wonderful to be able to refer to. It is a comfy house on a sunny good sized section in a quiet cul-de-sac within easy walk of Havelock North village. The garden including the lawn is set up with an irrigation system and required minimal maintenance. The property has been well organised for the pets and it has been a pleasure to look after them all. There are lovely ... There are lovely walks nearby which dogs Poppy and Coco were happy to show us, who also ensured we all kept within their sphere when on and off lead. Michael was very responsive with communication ensuring that our stay was as trouble free as possible.

This was a pleasant short sit for Michael’s family in their practical home. They were very responsive and had detailed instructions and free closet/fridge storage space, making for a smooth sit experience. Coco is a sweet older but active dog, while Poppy is still full of puppy energy. They will happily guide the way when walking them. It was lovely having the cats and chooks around and we also enjoyed the experience with the rabbit and the Guinea pig. What a fun bunch to care for. Havelock ... Havelock North is a charming town within walking distance that has a great atmosphere with Hastings also close by for practically all needs. A visit to Te Mata Peak next door is highly recommended, for its remarkable views on a good, clear day! Thanks to Michael and family for making this an enjoyable sit.

Enjoyed looking after all the pets. especially the very adorable Coco. Great communication with Micheal. Nice comfortable family home in a great location.
This is a very comfortable, organised home in a quiet and convenient location close to all the amenities in Havelock North. We found everything we needed in the home and location and were very happy here. We got into a good routine to ensure all the pets were fed and cleaned, and it was great company having them all around. Coco became a particularly loyal companion and walking her twice a day was an absolute pleasure. The houseplants around the home were easy to care for. It was fun pottering ... Comfortable home and it was great to go for walks with Coco, well she took me! All the animals kept me on my toes. Excellent communication from Michael. Very close to Havelock North shops.
We had a wonderful time pet/house sitting for Michael and his family. The house is lovely and well equipped and easy walking distance to the shops and supermarket which was so handy. We had a lovely time exploring the area and we all loved caring for their pets. Communication was easy and any questions we had were answered quickly. The instructions on caring for them were very clear and the food etc for the pets is super organised (an inspiration!). We especially loved taking Coco for walks, ...
