Our home

The house is in a really central location near Maeroa/Ellicott, has three bedrooms with a couple of hobby/storage rooms. It's double gated and super well fenced and private, on a nice street with great neighbours. The section is small and very low maintenance. The house has a 100sqm outdoor living area with some of it covered. Parking is in a carport. The house is a 7min drive to the city centre and the closest supermarkets, 5 mins to The Base.

favoriteWhat we love about our area

It's super accessible to everything, and Minogue dog park is around the corner for pup walks. Nina is great off leash at this park.

Nina is a four year old mixed breed/heading dog, very good, very sweet girl who takes a minute to get to know new people.
Little Dot is an 11 year old grey DSH cat with mild cerebellar hypoplaysia. She doesn't require any special care.
Pear is Little Dot's litter mate sister. She's ace.

Our garden

local_floristGarden or plant care

Minimal - Possibly some indoor and outdoor pot watering, depending on the weather. The lawn takes 10 mins to mow if required. I won't be fussed if it's not done.

Important info

There may be a car available if required. I haven't booked any flights yet, locking in a housesitter is my priority before I do so, the dates I have noted are tentative but preferred. If you have a dog you would like to bring, then being good with cats is essential. :)

Megan invited me to stay over the night before she left and I'm so glad I did because it was really helpful to learn the route and drill of her usual walks with Nina as well as the routines around everyone's feeding and bedtime. Nina loves her balls and by using the ball-thrower at nearby Minogue Park, I was able to give her the exercise she needs. The cats had such distinct personalities: company-seeking Holly, chilled out Pearl and shy little Dot. Megan had even put fresh flowers in my ... A dream house sit with a dream dog and adorable cats. Megan is a lovely, generous person, and to make sure Nina (the dog) got used to us we arrived a few days early to get to know her before Megan left. Nina is really easy going, very friendly once she knows you, and such a good dog. The cats are absolutely adorable and snuggly. With Little Dot it took some time for her to get used to us, but with patience and understanding of special-needs cats she was sitting on laps and wanting cuddles. Megan made the home really comfortable and thought of everything. It was quite cosy and the home is close to so much in Hamilton. Communication was clear and straightforward the whole time. Highly recommend!. Would definately come again in a heartbeat!
