Our home

Hello,

We live in Poraiti in Napier Hawkes Bay and are looking for someone to take care of our 2 dogs over Christmas and New Year.

The house is a new build, with a fully fenced garden, and lovely neighbors.

Our dogs (Dixie and Cooper) are very affectionate, house trained and will need daily walking. We are looking for someone who will spend most of their time here at the house with the dogs and not leave them alone for hours on end.

We thoroughly enjoyed our home and pet sit, so thank you Brigitte. Brigitte is extremely welcoming and organized. We felt a warm connection when we met before the house sit and communication after that was easy through using Whatsapp and detailed care and routines written out and left for our reference. Having no previous knowledge of a Staffie breed personality, we were pleasantly surprised at the affectionate, trusting, energetic nature of the two Staffies, Dixie and Cooper. Big softies! ... Bonding was instantaneous. We really enjoyed taking them out for two walks a day at the nearby park which helped settle them. Brigitte has a lovely modern home, easy to keep tidy and clean. We would be delighted if opportunity came to care for Dixie and Cooper again.

We enjoyed looking after Cooper and Dixie. They are two softies in those sturdy bodies☺️ The house was handed over clean with everything well organised. Communication was superb and we enjoyed sharing in Brigitte’s trip with regular updates both ways.
Brigitte and Duncan are lovely people to house/dog sit for. They're open and communicative and made us feel welcome in their beautiful home. The house was fantastic to stay in and it's only a short drive to everything in and around town plus they're right next to a massive park to walk the dogs which was really handy. Their two doggies are super friendly and always up for a pet or a cuddle. The younger one was still in his puppy phase when we sat, so there were a few normal puppy-associated ... The house was fantastic to stay in and it's only a short drive to everything in and around town plus they're right next to a massive park to walk the dogs which was really handy. Their two doggies are super friendly and always up for a pet or a cuddle. The younger one was still in his puppy phase when we sat, so there were a few normal puppy-associated challenges for us who are not so used to puppy-life - but nothing we couldn't handle. I hope to see Brigitte, Duncan, Dixie and Cooper one day again soon!
