My house is located near the Rangitata River,
Closest service towns are Geraldine, Temuka and Ashburton.
There is a small dairy and petrol pump approx 10 minutes drive from my house.

My home is a cosy, kiwiana, rustic and modest home.

An unrenovated 1950s Bach.
There will be two bedrooms available for use, both set up with queen & double beds- lots and lots of books/DVDS and games in the 2 living areas.
Kitchen & bathroom is basic and dated.

My home is warm once the fire is going and gets all day sun.

I’m looking for a non fussy house sitter, someone that doesn’t mind a bit of a rustic house with a lot of character.
As I am located within a village, the main rule is that dogs are not allowed outside off leash or not tethered.

Rurally positioned, it is imperative that you have your own vehicle. If you’re travelling in a camper, there is ample parking for a camper/large vehicle.

My dog Deenie is fairly low maintenance, she prefers to sleep and cuddle and is extremely affectionate.
If you’re working locally, she is generally OK to be left inside for up to 8-9hours.

One walk per day is adequate and she needs to be let out (tethered or on leash) to go to the toilet generally 4 times per day.

Not suitable for children or frail older people.
This property & village is extremely safe for women/solo travellers.
All local residents have been screened and we have a security gate that closes automatically during night time hours.
