Hi there, we are hoping to find a couple who would be happy to stay in our home and look after our fur babies while we are away. We have 9 dogs, 3 of these are pet dogs that live and sleep inside and have a large outdoor run for when you are not home and 6 are working dogs that spend their time outdoors. All of the dogs get on great and spend a lot of time together.
The 3 pet dogs are Mia (black lab - 8 years), Tina (blue heeler - 6 years) and zippy (Collie - 11months) and the working dogs are Chase (huntaway - 8 years), Stan (heading dog - 5 years), Buddy (heading dog - 11months & is Zippy's brother), Lou (huntaway - 9months), Barry (huntaway - 6 months) and Brick (huntaway - 9 weeks).
The dogs will need to be exercised daily, we have plenty of space for them all to run together and have some great walks on the farms with stunning views. We will also leave you a side by side and vehicle to use to get around the farm with them.
I also have an 11-year-old cat Ted who lives indoors during the day and ventures out at night. His cat door is set up to lock him in during the day and let him in and out throughout the night. He gets on very well with the indoor dogs but i am cautious of the working dogs therefore it is crucial that you do not leave any doors open that he could get out and ensure he is indoors when letting the working dogs off.
I also have pet livestock which are low maintenance and may only require some hay or nuts on the odd occasion. They include 4 lambs, 2 ewes, 2 steers, 1 highland heifer, 1 highland bull and 1 horse. Although you won't need to do much with them, most of them are super friendly and would love the company and some pats.
The location is very peaceful and tranquil, and the view is absolutely stunning. We are located just under 20mins from Gore but there is a lovely cafe about 5 minutes up the road in Mandeville if you wanted to venture out for a coffee or brunch. There are also plenty of walks nearby if this is your thing.
The house itself is kept clean and tidy, has a beautiful big kitchen with everything you will need and plenty of space.
There is a greenhouse that will require watering, although there's not a lot growing atm, you are more than welcome to help yourself. I also do have a bit of a collection of house plants that will just need to be watered a couple of times.
All we ask is that you please take care of the animals and leave the house the same way it was when you arrived.
Also, we are happy for you to stay an extra night either before we leave or once we get back if needed.
If you have any questions, please feel free to message/call me :)
