Hello! After living in Australia for years, I've decided to return home, so I'm (re)exploring NZ with my 5 year old son, Flynn, with a view to settling somewhere.

We are very lucky to have housesat steadily last year; staying in some beautiful places and looking after a real zoo of wonderful animals! So far we have cared for ponies, pigs, kittens & elderly cats, dogs, fish, sheep, lots of chooks (and one VERY territorial rooster - eek!). I'm experienced with rescue animals who are timid/anxious, and also administering medication to cats & dogs.

My son and I are book-lovers but also like to get out in nature and explore local beaches/playgrounds/walks (even better with a dog!). I work from home running my business in Australia, so am very lucky I can do this from anywhere.

My son is well-behaved and comfortable and gentle with animals. I am homeschooling him, with lots of nature-based learning at this stage, so rural blocks/farm-sits are welcomed.
We are happy to share a bed, so only require one bed/room for sleeping.

As a lifelong dog-lover and former cat owner, I know how much a part of your family your pets are. I understand that some pets need things a certain way, whereas others are more go-with-the-flow (kinda like people!). I can happily follow detailed instructions to a T, or just as happily use my initiative.

I use only eco-friendly and fragrance-free products.. Non-smoker, one-glass-of-wine-with-dinner drinker, and live a quiet, healthy life. I am mindful of using resources and am the type to put another jumper on and make a hot water bottle, rather than crank up the heat! You will always come home to a clean home and happy animals :)
