Hi, Kia ora! We are a family of four who are taking a year off to travel slowly around Aotearoa in 2023. Our home-base is Taupo.

While we are away, Ian is looking forward to being the home-schooling dad and I will be finishing up my PhD. Our sons, Mac and Beau, are cruisy, kind, and considerate kids - teacher references available!

We are super well-rehearsed with taking care of and loving family pets as we have had dogs, cats, chickens, guinea pigs and rabbits over the years, as well as tending our big veggie garden.

The absolute best. The house was immaculate when we returned, and Jess, our very full-on border collie, was loved, and exercised to the max. They also looked after our cows, chickens and snooty cats. Consider yourself very fortunate if you have Thea and Ian and boys as your house sitters

Thea, Ian and boys took excellent care of my dog and my house. The communication was good and they were flexible about extending the sit when requested. They tidied up with the weedeater and the yard was a pleasure to return to. Totally recommend!

It was so nice to leave our dogs in the care of this lovely family. Communication with them was friendly and very easy. Strangers came to look after our dogs and house and at the end of the sit we have gained new friends. We would be very happy for them to sit for us again.

Thea, Ian and the boys were AMAZING! We could not have hoped for better house sitters. Perfect communication, awesome initiative, super active and responsible people. Our dog almost seemed a little disappointed we had come back! The house was in better condition than we had left it and they had even mowed the lawns we had neglected. They were so awesome with our pets and our pup got more exercise than we give her. The kids were cruisy and well-behaved and our dog really enjoyed their care and ... MORE
