Evelyn & Paul

Paul and I are both Kiwis and we are living overseas at the moment because I am an international school teacher. During our 30-year marriage, we have cared for many animals – both our own and those belonging to others. As a consequence, we have three adult children who also love animals. Our experience is with looking after cats, dogs, turtles, guinea pigs, rabbits and fish. I grew up on a quarter acre section in the Waikato where I also had a lamb and goat. Paul is wonderful with dogs, whereas I am more of a cat person, so we have things covered!

We have been living in Istanbul, Turkey for the past five years, and the street cats bring us a lot of joy. We feed them on a regular basis, and during covid we rescued an older street cat. Because we live overseas now and rent out our home in New Zealand, we understand how important it is to have reliable and caring tenants. Likewise, we will look after your home as if it was our own, taking special care of your pets, plants and garden.

We are non-smokers who love playing board games, reading, watching movies, and exploring new places. We are looking for a house sit opportunity while we come home during the NZ winter before going to my new teaching position in Shanghai, China. We look forward to hearing from you!
