Kia ora! I'm Jess, originally from the U.S. and living in Wellington while studying for my PhD. I'm an animal lover but can't currently have my own pets, so I started house sitting in 2022 to have some furry friends in my life. I've now been house and pet sitting full-time for over 2 years!

WORK FROM HOME - ALL DAY AVAILABILITY

I work from home and usually have a lot of reading and writing to do, so I'm happy to be at home all day keeping your pets company and your house secure. Taking a pup to the park or the trail is my favorite study break. I have a car and can easily take your pet on adventures or access emergency services if needed.

PET WHISPERER - CONFIDENT WITH DIFFICULT BREEDS

I have experience with all kinds of dogs and cats, chooks, rabbits, fish and reptiles. I cater to each pet's individual needs (walks to their energy level, etc) and replicate their daily routine so they feel comfortable and content while you're away. I've owned and cared for big dogs, reactive and aggressive dogs, and dogs that like to run away, and I have the skills to handle dogs with behavioural issues. I send daily updates with photos and videos, so you can catch up on their adventures.

HOME MAINTENANCE MAESTRO + CLEANLINESS CONNOISSEUR

I'm proactive about maintenance, watching out for leaks, filters, pests, chimneys, gutters, plumbing and electrical issues and keeping you informed. I've adopted the number 8 wire mentality and can troubleshoot issues myself (with your go-ahead!) I'm also keen to get my hands dirty, potter about watering and pulling a few weeds and keeping the lawns cut. I'm exceptionally tidy and clean and will leave your house absolutely spotless!

RELIABLE COMMUNICATION + DAILY PET PHOTOS

I'm reliable and a great communicator. I send daily photos and updates so you never have to worry about your fur babies. I love to take action shots and portraits of your pets - you'll have a gallery to choose from by the end of the sit (see my photo gallery for some of my satisfied clients!)
