We are a young at heart retired couple. who love travelling around New Zealand. We set up and run a very successful 5 star bed and breakfast lodge in the Ruapehu Region ( Tongariro Suites and the award winning Nightsky Cottage) for nine years. We sold the businesses and retired to fulfil our dream of enjoying life before it is too late.
In October 2022 we sadly had to say goodbye to our beloved 18 year old cat, so we love to house sit and look after a cat. Both of us have grown up with a family dog, so we are happy to look after yours as well.
We are interested in house sits for maximum 2 weeks at the time.

Wow, how lucky were we to have Elsbeth and Carel housesit for us for about 5 weeks. A most obliging couple who maintain very high standards, inside and outside the house. Weka our cat, was well looked after and thoroughly spoilt, Carel was happy to mow the lawns and did an outstanding job. We absolutely recommend Elsbeth and Carel to anyone who need housesitters, and give them a 100% rating! Thank you both so very much.

Elsbeth and Carel were the perfect caretakers of our house and pampered our cat, so much so that he's happier and more social than ever - a true miracle! We were also stoked to see that our vege garden was thriving and house spotless when we got back. Highly recommend and will be asking them to house sit again and again for us.
