Katy & Owen

Hi there,

We're Owen & Katy! We are both (young?) professionals currently relocated from Dublin, Ireland and traveling around New Zealand. Owen's from Galway, and Katy's from the US- but she fell in love with both Owen & Ireland many years ago and they've been in Dublin ever since - until now - we are both taking a career break and enjoying everything New Zealand has to offer on the working holiday visa.

We both love the outdoors and travelling and animals! Owen grew up with a beautiful golden retriever and Katy grew up in a house full of dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, and a lizard! We cannot wait until we are no longer renting & can get a dog of our own - but in the mean time we'd love to spoil your pets with lots of attention!

We love travelling, getting to meet new people (and furry friends), and we think housesitting is a great way of achieving this.

As well, we're both easy going and responsible, so we love the mutually beneficial opportunity this provides. Our experience growing up caring for pets and our love for animals will help us take great care of your beloved creatures. Additionally, we will respect your home & follow all directions accordingly.

We have experience caring for all types of dogs, large & small - taking them for walks, cleaning up after them, following meal and hygiene routines. Katy's beloved dog Linkin had Epilepsy, so Katy has experience administering medication to dogs as well as looking after any extra needs.

Through housesitting, we have gained extensive experience looking after cats and kittens, playing, feeding, refreshing water & emptying litterboxes.

We always follow any advice given & can keep to regiment routines looking after all your pet's needs!

Katy and Owen are avid houseplant collectors & carers so we know many of the nuances to keeping plants happy and healthy.
