Hi there!

We are Chris (33) and Sophie (28). We are originally from Germany and have been living in NZ for almost 1,5 years now. We really enjoy it down here!

I, Chris, am a trained joiner and have worked as an arborist in Germany and in NZ in the past years. I enjoy being outdoors and I am happy to help out with all different tasks around the house. I grew up with dogs and a cat.
I am conscientious, calm and thoughtful. I enjoy mountain biking, long beach walks and living close to nature.

I, Sophie, have just graduated with a master's degree in business informatics at a German university. I wrote my master's thesis remotly from various housesits in NZ.
I love having animals around and caring for them. I have experience especially with horses and dogs and feel comfortable with all sorts of farm animals as well. I grew up with family dogs and have experience with dog training. I have been horseback riding for almost 20 years so I am very confident handling horses.
I'm outgoing, open minded, curious, active and highly-motivated.

We are down to earth with a strong common sense. We consider ourselves as very reliable, honest and tidy. We are non smokers and have our own transportation. We would treat your home like ours!

We have traveled to multiple regions in NZ and enjoy housesitting a lot because we get the chance to live like a local.
We will relocate to Auckland mid February because of Sophie's new job and searching for longterm housesits. We would always prefer more remote and rural properties and dealing with commuting to CBD three days a week.

Sophie gave us the most stressful house sit we have ever experienced. Her communication was so poor that we twice offered to cancel our holiday and return home. The feeding instructions we left for the dogs were not followed. Sophie and Chris left without cleaning the guest bathroom that they used and we had to deal with rotten food/weeks old milk in the fridge. Sophie and Chris did a wonderful job of caring for our house and dog while we were overseas for six weeks. Communication was easy, and we came back to a spotless house and a happy dog. I would highly recommend them and would not hesitate to have them back. Thanks guys, for allowing us to have a stress-free break!

Sophie was great with communication from the start to the finish. Our boy was well looked after and Sophie even administered his meds for us. The house was immaculate when we returned. We highly recommend Sophie.

Chris and Sophie looked after our rural property for nearly 3 months. The arrangement couldn't have been easier. No dramas, great communication, and they clearly enjoyed their time in our home. We arrived back to it just as clean and tidy as we left it for them - it was just the way we like it. These two were amazing and looked after our anxious dog very well. They kept us up to date with how he was and even took him to his favourite place the beach! The house was cleaner when we arrived home than what we left it. Very grateful for these two and the time they spent with our animals and looking after our whare. Thank you!
