Hi!

We're Nick and Tatiana, a responsible, friendly, active, couple in our 60s, happily married for 37 years. After raising 3 wonderful children and a variety of pets in New Jersey, USA, we decided it was time to sell our house and start our next adventure. Having met 38 years ago while backpacking in Australia we're doing a 360 and traveling again.

We are both fit, healthy, non- smokers and enjoy gardening, hiking, and backpacking. We enjoy meeting new people and have made new friends with our hosts and their neighbors. We miss having pets and this gives us an opportunity to look after and spoil lots of new and different animals - where else would we look after alpacas! We've been house/pet sitting since 2018 starting in the US, NZ, Panama, UK and Europe. We've looked after a variety of animals including dogs, cats, fish, a bunny, ducks, chickens, sheep, horses, goats and alpacas! You can be sure your house and pets will be well looked after, and we always put 100% into their care.

Nick completed his apprenticeship in horticulture with the Wellington City Council and had his own landscaping business for a time. He is a keen gardener, and we are both handy around house. We are trustworthy and having been long- term homeowners we know how important it is to care for a home and would be respectful of your property. Even though we enjoy traveling, your home and pets are always our priority.

Tatiana and Nick just housesat my dog and my parents cat for the last 2 1/2 weeks. They kept in constant communication with photos and updates throughout our travels. They even took our dog on outings to the botanical gardens and up to Featherston! On the day of our return the Wellington weather was very windy and they made the effort to stay with our pets until our flight departed, in case it was cancelled. Wow! Our first time using this site and we were so blessed to have Nick and Tatiana look after our house and dog. We got regular updates, returned to an immaculate house and garden, and Nick’s famous mac and cheese was waiting for us after long flights home. Can’t recommend them highly enough. Hope we’re lucky enough to be able to use them again in the future!

This is the second housesit that Tatiana and Nick have done for us and once again they did such a wonderful job. The house was tidy and clean on our return and the lawns had even been mowed! Tatiana and Nick are amazing communicators who often send messages and photos of what they are up to, they even took our dog Dave to their family Christmas dinner! We feel so safe having Tat and Nick housesitting and know that they treat our pets as if they are their own :)

This was our first time using The House Sitting Company and after a 10 day trip away we were very impressed with our sitters. Our house sitters were Tatiana and Nick and they cared for our property and animals as if they were their own. In particular, we were impressed with Tatiana and Nick's genuine interest in our property and brilliant communication throughout. We would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

The animals received heaps of attention, they kept me posted on the pets as well as any possible house issues and best of all, we came home to a spotless house after being abroad for 6 weeks.
