So, is the pandemic over for us ? Time will tell!! Now it's new weather patterns. Nevertheless, even though everything keeps changing everything for everyone, I am I here, ready and looking forward to look after your pets, plants, home, and an occasional self sufficient elderly relative who just needs some company and checking in on, perhaps an evening meal to prepare for..
I am a really healthy, fully vaccinated for covid 19, alert and active "retired" self-employed artist, able to meet all usual duties of a house and pet owner.
I have had small holdings in the past, rearing every conceivable farm animal, cared for grazing horses and cattle, goats and sheep; always had a dog or two or in latter years cats - which have moved on - and looked after peoples' homes, plants, animals and even an elderly relative, off and on over the years. The last one turned into a 9 year stint. This home has now been sold, and I relish the freedom to travel and enjoy our spectacular country, painting as I go.
I can tell you the usual things you'd expect from a mature, well traveled, single-by-choice woman to be true of me - self-organizing, reliable, trustworthy, tidy, flexible and relaxed! I do not smoke nor drink alcohol, am clean, tidy and respectful of others' property and lifestyles, and generally am trouble free !
So much about me, with all those "Is" !! Happy to answer absolutely any and all concerns you may have.
Perhaps most important for YOU is that I will follow your instructions regarding your animals / home and not "know better"; I contact you or your agent / vet / insurance agent promptly if needed; and handle minor emergency repairs as they arise. I will never incur any expense you have not sanctioned in advance.!
The advice about profiles on the site is to say a lot about animals, but each occasion is different, and YOU will tell me what I need to know about YOUR animals ! I can say I really enjoy their personalities and presence, and that is why I choose sits with as well as without animals.

We never once worried about our pets the photos Miriam often sent us showed very happy well looked after pets. Knowing our home and pets were in the care of Miriam made our holiday even more enjoyable.
Miriam was perfect - we, and our two dogs, were very happy with how well everything was cared for. She even prepared a hot meal for us when we arrived home! Lots of interesting conversations - look forward to having Miriam stay again
We were very pleased with Miriam doing our house sit. She did an amazing job of looking after our home and two geriatric cats for three weeks over January. They obviously warmed to her quickly. Miriam showed initiative when small issues arose and kept us informed. We wouldn't hesitate in using her again. Thanks.
Thanks so much Miriam. It was great to return to a lovely clean house, very happy pets and even all the weeds pulled from our Garden!! Excellent communication with lots of catch up photos/videos of our kitties. Would be happy to have you back again :-)

Miriam. was exactly who we needed for our elderly dog and the house was well looked after. Watering was done to save my pots..Miriam.even left me some potted beans for my new garden.

Miriam was a wonderful house sitter, looking after our house and cat over the New Year period. Upon initial meeting, our cat loved her straight away so that put us at ease from the start. Miriam was an absolute dream! Sent us updates all the time, lovely photos etc. Was really friendly and had great communications with our neighbours too. The house was spotless when we got home, felt cleaner than we left it! Thank you so much Miriam we can't wait to see you again soon!
Miriam was a great carer of Ollie, and totally unfazed by any of his dietary whims or cat nuances. I think he immediately fell for her, sleeping on her lap and on her bed!

Lovely to have Miriam look after our animals. She was very accommodating in arriving early morning so we could set off early. Good communication, house as we left it and animals happy.
Miriam is a lovely lady and I enjoyed the time I had getting to know her. She's an animal lover and my cat and dog got very attached to her. My cat is usually a bit standoffish with new people but she loved Miriam from the start. Communication is excellent, she is punctual, reliable and totally trustworthy. I thoroughly recommend Miriam as a housesitter and would have her back again anytime.

YOUR RESPONSE: Miriam was a dream to leave with our dogs and home. She did an excellent job of caring for our senior dogs. Neighbors did txt me to say that even on the cold wet days our dogs got their walk. We returned to 2 happy dogs and a clean tidy house. We had originally booked Miriam in for a house sit in April but due to COVID19 had to cancel our plans. So we were thrilled when we could book her in for a proper stay - a week with our dog Django in our little house in Welcome Bay, Tauranga.
