Hey there!
A bit about us:
Yannick and me (Mélissa:) are Canadians currently travelling in New Zealand for the year 2024 with a Working Holiday visa. We both love traveling, exploring, taking spontaneous adventures to new places, being in nature, and meeting new people and of course animals! We are both tidy, non-smokers who will treat your home with respect.
Our experience with pets:
We would love to have the opportunity to take care of your pets and house while you are away. You can rest assured that your pets will be well taken care of and well loved since we also have a pet back home that we love to call our daughter :D Our pet is a cat and she is like a member of our family so we completely understand the importance of taking great care of pets. Also, we grew up with dogs and cats in our respective families so we consider ourselves as experienced animal caregivers. In brief, we both can appreciate how valuable the companionship of a pet can be!
Why we want to housesit:
Housesitting allows us to experience the local way of life, while in turn helping others by ensuring their home and pets are looked after. It is a wonderful idea to combine traveling and pet care into one by exploring beautiful New Zealand while also spending time with animals. We really think it's a win-win for both of the parties.
What we promise you:
We will follow any instructions you leave with the utmost care and attention, and make sure that your pet is kept safe, comfortable, loved, and attended while under our watch. We are comfortable with different sizes and breeds. We will do whatever is needed to keep them happy while you're away!
If requested, we will happily provide you with regular updates on your home and pets, giving you peace of mind throughout your trip. We are more than happy to arrange a video call prior to sitting, so we can go through any questions you may have. Our priority is making sure your time away is as happy and worry-free as possible!
Thank you for considering us!
