Luka & Joe

Hi! We are Luka (33) and Joe (33) from Nottingham, England. We have recently decided to leave our jobs as a high school teacher and accountant to explore the beauty of New Zealand.

I (Joe) grew up in the English countryside surrounded by animals and greenery. Growing up we had 7 dogs, 2 cats, a flock of chickens, a couple of ferrets and even nursed an injured owl for a brief period.. as a result I'm comfortable around most animals! I've worked as an accountant for around 10 years and most recently worked in the property damage restoration sector. With the extension of the working holiday visa age I've decided to seize this opportunity to explore the other side of the world. I love the outdoors and being in nature. I'm looking forward to hiking and seeing what New Zealand has to offer!


I (Luka) have spent the last decade traveling and living abroad, including 2 years in Australia and 2 years in Vietnam spent teaching English as a foreign language to young children. I love the freedom of exploring a new country, and enjoyed a few long-term house sits during my time in Australia. As we are currently not working, I thought this would be a perfect opportunity for Joe and I to spend some time learning about New Zealand and giving all of our affection and attention to some animals along the way! In my spare time I enjoy sewing (I love vintage fashion) and running.

We are a very active couple with a love for all animals, and look forward to the responsibility of taking care of your pet(s) whilst you are away.
