Heather & Peter

Hi. We are a cat-loving couple visiting NZ from the UK in 2023/24. I am a Kiwi born and bred but have been living in the UK for over 40 years. My husband is a Brit - originally from Liverpool. We live in London with our grown up kids and cats. We are 59 and 61 and have both just retired from corporate life. This trip is our big adventure and something we've been dreaming about for years. I am looking to re-connect with my roots by living peacefully in various parts of the country whilst my husband experiences what it is like to live as a Kiwi. Consequently, we felt that housesitting would give us the opportunity to really sample Kiwi life, rather than just being tourists. I am a keen gardener so very happy to look after your garden and veggies. Peter is a dab-hand at DIY and lawn mowing. We both love cats and are used to caring for those with special needs. Peter grew up with dogs and parrots as well. We have looked after friends' houses and animals including chickens, fish and rabbits. We are mature, responsible and will look after your home as if it were our own. We look forward to helping you out if we can.
