We are a mature married couple who own our own home in Wellington. I’ve been doing a degree in fine arts at Otago. We were commuting but missed each other too much so Peter has moved to Dunedin for the remainder of my study. I’m taking the first half of 2024 off study, so we’re flexible with place and dates.
We are keen pet lovers, especially cats and dogs. An added bonus is our flexible timetable that means we are home a lot and can keep them company.
I’m very inspired by visual beauty and would leave your house as clean and beautiful as when we arrive, or better. I also love tending a vegetable/herb garden. Peter has worked with residential and commercial property in different capacities and would bring his experienced eye to overseeing the maintenance of your property if needed.
We’ve been housesitting since December 2022 and we just love it. We have also been tenants in Dunedin, have had housesitters in our own home in Wellington and are now renting it out, so we know how important it is to be able to trust the people living in it. Trustworthiness of both parties is super important to us. We'd be happy to provide character references and referee contacts.
We’re looking for a home that is warm and light, has afternoon sun, is quiet, clean and tidy. We’re available till the end of 2024.

Really lovely people. Looked after our friendly old dog needing quite a bit of care. Second house sit with these guys. Chloe was very happy to see then again. Hours immaculate on our return. Highly recommended.
We had never used a house sitter before so we're very apprehensive about having someone we didn't know in the house. Judith and Peter soon dismissed any concerns we had with clear communication, honesty, and openess. They were well organised with questions during a video call beforehand so we knew what to expect, and they were prepared. This was our first house sitting experience, and we were extremely happy to have Judith and Peter looking after our cat, Guinea pigs and fish (and house!). They kept in touch regularly with us throughout the 6 week stay, posting photos and videos of the animals, so great communication. Also kept the place spotless and even did some gardening for us and made crabapple jelly! We would definitely like to have them back again for future sits. Thank you so much Judith and Peter!!
We were able to meet Judith and Peter the day before we left to show them the details of our house, dog, cat and heifers and farm.
We instantly bonded with this lovely couple and as expected they did a wonderful job.
Communication was excellent, lots of pics of happy animals.
The house was left spotless. They had to overcome a couple of minor heifer crises on our lifestyle block which they did with aplomb.
We would have them back anytime.

The animals were very happy and the house was clean when we arrived home. We had updates throughout the stay to let us know how everyone was doing. Overall a great experience and we would definitely invite Judith and Peter back.
Judith & Peter were absolutely amazing. They looked after our home and pets perfectly. We have booked them for another sit as well. I was lucky to find Judith and Peter who were able to look after my Golden Retriever and house sit over the Christmas period. When I returned,I found the house very tidy as I had left it and a happy dog who had been walked at least once daily . I was sent regular updates as well as photos and a short video of Peter playing with Kira. All good, thank you.

I highly recommend Judith and Peter as trusted house sitters. They took perfect care of our newly renovated home and treated our animals as their own (the dogs were depressed when they left!). Their friendly communication during our time away meant we felt at ease knowing our pets were happy and well cared for, and our home was immaculate on our return. Judith & Peter did an excellent job of looking after our dog. (In fact i think he now misses them). The house was well looked after and they communicated regularly with us while we were away. We would have no trouble recommending them and would happily have them back again
Make sure the garden and pot plants are thriving when you get back - get a house sitter.
