I am Currently not seeking House sits in New Zealand. This time I will be house sitting on my own as Jane needs to stay in Australia.
My wife & I are platinum members of Aussie House Sitters & have recently joined Kiwi House Sitters!
We are Jane and Martyn and are experienced full time House/Pet-sitters. We are non-smokers & have been happily married for over 42 years.
After House sitting in Spain, UK & Australia, we understand the importance of what you leave behind, beloved animals and a home in which you invested time and money. We have the experience to proactively provide the companionship, care and structure your pets deserve and also care for your home and plants as if they were our own. We take great pride in our integrity, honesty, and reliability.

We currently have our own Facebook group/page with all our latest endorsements & photos together with a video taken in Spain. It is called “Sutherlandshire House & Pet Sitting Services. We also have some photos on Instagram.

Our only daughter owns a business in Caringbah, Sydney & we have now moved over permanently to Australia whilst waiting for our Contributory Parent Visa to be granted. Queue time is currently 8 years.

However, our situation at the moment is that Jane has a Visa to stay permanently in Australia, whilst due to a technicality (because I was in Spain whilst our visa was lodged) I have been asked to go offshore temporarily whilst I lodge another new Visa for permanent residency in Australia. Therefore I am currently looking at securing a long term sit at the moment.

As responsible homeowners both in the UK & in Spain, we decided to get one of our Apartments on the property in Spain, turned into holiday accommodation which has included many years of us successfully running a Retreat, managing guests and housekeeping. Our Home Business called Breakfast at Tiffanies (which we sold in 2019) was on the TripAdvisor Website with 2017, 2018 & 2019 "Certificate of Excellence" awards & all our Reviews were 5***** for our hard work.
Our experience:-
We have owned & fostered many feral cats & dogs. We have been lucky enough to share our world with Siamese, Balinese, Ragdoll, Birman & Tiffanie cats. I love to walk home owners dogs. I enjoy visiting the parks.

Wow!Martyn has been a complete dream sitter. He has loved and looked after Charlie like his own. We were so worried about a 4 month sit and Martyn has been perfect. He sends us a photo every day and walks our Charlie twice a day. They are great buddies. He has been so respectful of our home and winter power use. We hope to book Martyn every year. What can we stay. We were so lucky to have Martyn especially after our first time having a pet/home sitter. All five pets fell in love with him and vice versa! It was so nice to get home after a month away to a clean house, bed changed, dinner cooked and happy pets. I would highly recommend him and wish he was available in august when we are away again. Thank you once again Martyn.

It was a pleasure to come back to my home and find it beautifully clean and tidy. Jane was very organised all the way through our arrangements prior to her arrival and then while I was away she messaged me intermittently just to let me know everything was fine and my pussycat was very happy: she even started sleeping on the bed with Jane, which is a true sign of trust in my cat. We were very happy with Jane and Martyn's house sit. House was clean and tidy when we returned and designated 'chores' were completed. Communication was their strong point. We would recommend them for a future house sit.

Jane has just completed a house sit for us and i cannot express how wonderful and delighted we were with the caring and loving she gave our 2 very spoilt puppies, tropical fish and our garden. No words can express my gratitude and gratefulness to Jane; not only did she help us with our rescue dog, she cared for our home like her own. I used Jane to house/dog sit while I visited my daughter in Canada over Christmas. I think my dog Wheatley was thoroughly spoiled and so well looked after by Jane. My house is spotless and I've been spoiled with a beautiful handmade candle on my return. Jane kept me up to date with a few photos over my time away which was lovely. I thoroughly recommend Jane and would definitely have her look after my home again if the need arises.
