We are friendly and resourceful, good at mowing lawns, cuddling dogs, sharing beds with cats ( and dogs! ) collecting eggs, feeding terrapins, and handling small creatures - one of us is pretty good on tractors, dirt bikes and 4 wheelers and, having shared our home with dogs, cats rats, rabbits, mice and fish as well as helping neighbours move cattle and sheep over the years feel we can adapt to most situations and creatures, especially medium to large smoochy dogs!
We are lucky to have flexibility in our lives, Airbnbing our house on the Kapiti Coast, living aboard our yacht in Northland or the Sounds and house/pet sitting inbetween. We have an 8-year-old social well-behaved, chilled heading/hunterway x who goes everywhere with us. She is not a barker- except when playing- or a digger and is used to sharing us.
We are happy to do odd jobs, and maintenance while you are away and ensure your place is safe in wild weather!
We are comfortable being off grid and in hard to get to places, even better if we can moor the boat close by!

Basically, Debs and Steve are our perfect house sitters. Utterly reliable, excellent communicators, flexible and fun. They took our Ruby dog into their hearts and connected with her so beautifully. We were away for five weeks and never once had any doubts or concerns. We felt so safe and relieved to have them looking after our house and animal family. Debs and Steve are fantastic house sitters and have looked after our house, dog and guinea pigs several times over the last couple of years. They always do such a great job and, more than anything, really understand and love our precious Ruby dog. They have become good friends and if they are available to sit, they are always our first choice. We can't recommend them highly enough.

It was wonderful having Deb, Steve and Mo look after my animals, house and garden. They were great at communicating, with lots of updates on doggy adventures. Mo got on really well with my pups and cat. We were able to have a great trip away knowing our house and pets were in great hands. Will definitely be keen to have them stay again.

Thankyou Deb, Steve and MO - you make handing our house over so easy. It's like handing over to friends. Lana forgets we are leaving the minute she sniffs noses with Mo and we think she has the best time with you guys and your dogs. We wholeheartedly recommend Steve and Deb as house sitters and pet carers (plant waterers) They always leave the house as they found it and when we walk back in there is always a pleasant vibe to come home to.

10 out of 10 for these sitters. Dogs got well and truly spoilt. Appreciated the regular updates of the latest adventures. Both the house and garden were immaculate on our return. Would happily have them back anytime.

Great peace of mind having Deb amd Steve look after our house and pooch. Very regular updates to ensure our time away was stress free. Helped with fixing things about the home was also great. Very clean tidy and respectful. Happy to recommend!!

I was welcomed back to my home with flowers.. food thoughtfully supplied in the fridge and a sense that my home had been well cared for during my absence. Having such professional house sitters as Deb/Steve made my my break away so much more enjoyable and less stressful. Maintaining a great connection via FBook meant that whilst the cattery was not in operation, any enquiries were dealt with and forwarded onto me.. such exemplary care of my home and Deb's intuitive response to enquiries ... Deb and Steve were great house sitters and their adorable laid back dog Moe was an excellent companion for our dog Niki. They looked after our house and the animals as if they were their own and we were happy to leave the house in their care. So good in fact that we have already booked them for a future trip later this year and we know we can confidently go away and relax knowing everything is in good hands Cant reccomend them enough

We had a fantatastic stay and look forward to building yet another driftwood structure on the beach with Mo and Niki as supervisers! (..they do make it bit tricky tho with a fair bit of driftwood stealing !)
Deb and Stephen and MO took amazing care of our dog Lana and of our house and contents. The dogs are besties now. Deb and Steve kept in touch while we were away and we have since rebooted with them for more sits. We highly recommend them.

Where do I start, Deb and Stephen are the most fabulous housitters. They have gone above and beyond to look after our precious pets, look after our home and even mowed our extensive lawns in time for our arrival home. The fire was roaring and Deb had made a lovey homemade loaf of bread, quiche and salad. We would highly recommend them to anyone needing the ultimate in housesitters. They really care! Communication photos and messages were sent while we were away to reassure us that the dogs ... MORE
