Hello, we are delighted to share with you a little about who we are and what our values and skill sets are. We hope that they resonate with your own.

OUR BACKGROUND ~ SHORT AND SWEET :

We are a couple whom both grew up on small farms on the west of Ireland. This lifestyle offered us lots of first hand experiences with animals in our formative years. Over the latter 9 years we ran our own Wellness Retreat & Day Spa business in Hanmer Springs where we had a dog, chickens and ducks.

We are very conscientious, caring and trustworthy people with a friendly and open outlook on life. We completely respect other peoples properties and pets. We believe in " what you give out you get back" .

After running our own beloved retreat business and appreciating the precious times we got to go away. It brings us great joy and reward to now get to support and help create peace of mind for home owners to rest assured that their beloved pets and property are in great hands.'

In December 2023 we sold our retreat business we had for 9 years in Hanmer Springs. In 2024 our new dream is in building and running our online well-being business while getting to travel to beautiful locations and taking on wonderful house sit opportunities in different locations around NZ.

For the latter 9 years myself and my wife Mary Jo launched and ran our own dreamy Vibrant Living Retreat and thriving Mountain View Massage day spa in the beautiful alpine village of Hanmer Springs, South Island NZ. We lived 15.5 amazing years in Hanmer Springs all up. In 2023 we were finally ready for big change and transition after an interesting few years post covid and the lockdowns.

Mary Jo's background is in various styles of Yoga, Holistic Massage, Wellness Facilitations and Transformational healing modalities.

Myself, Steves background is in building, painting and carpentry. Over 9 years of running my own Retreat business with partner Mary Jo, I developed my skills and passions as a Wellness chef, Gardener and as the all-round Maintenance guy. Along side the requirement of running my Retreat business over the 9 years, I pursued my growing passion for Ultra endurance bike racing.

Myself and my wife Mary Jo consider ourselves to be Irish, Kiwi with Global Hearts. We love travel, learning, growing, evolving and connecting with people from all walks of life, cultures and backgrounds. It really was travels in South East Asia, Indian and Australia which was part of the catalyst behind eventually creating our well-being retreat.
We have experience in running Air BNB accommodation if that was something you need looking after.

We believe that life is a wonderful gift and adventure to be embraced with a caring, compassionate, grateful heart and mindful approach.

We know how much it meant to us to have trust worthy and caring capable people look after our beloved retreat and our fur baby doggie when we went away over the years. This is why we are over joyed now to return the favour and pay it forward by taking care of other peoples dream homes and beloved fur baby pet family. Our own fur baby doggie made her transition March 2022.

We are excited to communicate and connect more with potential suitable house sitting opportunities.
