My husband and I are regular house, farm and pet sitters for friends and family here in the UK and in NZ during the summer months.

I am a former social worker and my husband is a retired building contractor. I am from a farming family and comfortable with all farm animals as well as domestic pets. We are also happy and able to do mowing, watering etc and basic garden care if and when required. We are very active and outdoorsy but also love quiet evenings watching films and reading. We are non-smokers. We are now looking to combine our travels with regular house sitting positions.

We plan to return to NZ early December for 3 to 4 months and will be looking for house/farm/pet sits anywhere in the country.

We met Helen & Stephen for the first time this year and felt instantly at ease that our pets and house would be well looked after. We received regular updates and the house and gardens were clean and tidy upon our return. The pets seemed very content. We wouldn’t hesitate asking them again to house sit for us.

Helen and Stephen were a delight to have in our house. They were the perfect sitters and would highly recommend. We had some really hot days while we were away and they kept up all the watering on the garden. But most importantly Dougie was well looked after.

Helen and Stephen have been absolutely wonderful minding our three large dogs and our home. We came home to a happy pack of fur-babies who had obviously been very well cared for. We appreciated being sent photos of them doing beach and farm walks as well while we were away. Helen and Stephen also looked after our house extremely well and were even mindful of water usage during this dry year which was appreciated.
