I am a Canadian living in New Zealand since 2012. I have house sat a variety of animals - dogs, cats, rabbits, birds. fish. chickens. I enjoy discovering new places and meeting new people and caring for their pets. I have owned a Husky, a German Shepherd, six cats - three at one time, a miniature rabbit and two full sized rabbits, four budgie birds and a miniature turtle. I would love your fur babies as my own. I am a non-smoke, non-drinker and work part-time in wellness.
I would welcome the opportunity to housesit pets longterm for any one in Christchurch/Waimakakiri /Southland/Wanaka/Nelson area and occasionally the Wellington area for owners that are very kind to their animals. I am interested in longterm sits (2-4 weeks or 1-2 plus months throughout 2024.
Michaelah was awesome. Our house was left in a beautiful state and our pets were well cared for.
Michaelah was easy to communicate with and provided updates which allowed us to really enjoy our time away without any worries.

Michaelah is a Superstar Sitter. She communicates really well, both before and during the sit. She sent us cool cat photos to keep us up-to-date while we were away and let us know of any issues.
Michaelah left the house beautifully clean and tidy. It was lovely to arrive home to a happy cat, and an immaculate house.
The kitty cats settled very quickly with Michaelah, which is unusual for them, so I was able to go away knowing they were relaxed and well taken care of. Michaelah sent me daily updates, with photos, and the house was immaculate and very happy kitties when I returned.

First time using a house sitter but Michaelah helped make the process simple. She was happy to meet at our place prior to confirming.

The updates helped me with missing our fur baby it put everything at ease knowing he was safe.

Michaelah is a delightful, friendly and highly responsible house/kitty sitter. She looked after Beki, our rather timid cat, as if she were her own. Our house was immaculate upon returning from our 2 weeks' holiday.

Michaelah was an amazing housesitter. We were initially nervous about how the cats would respond to a stranger coming into their home. One of our cats runs for the hills as soon as she gets an inkling someone new is in the house. Michaelah quickly put our minds to rest. The key reason I needed a house sitter was to look after my cat Lexi. When I arrived home Lexi was very contented. She was happy and had been well cared for by Michaelah. I also appreciated Michaelah coming to meet me before the house sit. This helped me to feel comfortable about who was staying in my home while I was away.

Nice enough person , house tidy and clean . Garden not so good. Animals were happy I think, not sure when she left our house , but definitely earlier than agreed.
Michaela is a very organised, caring and responsible housesitter who went over and above! She communicated well with us throughout the stay and our place was very tidy and well maintained when we got home! And she kindly made us some lovely cookies and soup which were delicious! Was wonderful having Michaela sit for us and look after the Queen of the house, Coco the cat. Michaela kept us posted about Coco's activities (mostly sleeping)and sent pictures. A mature, respectful and calm lady who took exceptional care of our home and our JR dog. Communications were excellent and we received regular updates and photos. Guidelines for medical care of our dog were adhered to. A long standing issue with the house plumbing was handled with dignity and patience. I would highly recommend this lady and will definitely ask her again. Wishing her well in the future.
Thanks Michaelah, I came home to a clean house, and a happy dog. It can't have been easy house sitting when you were unwell. I wish you'd let me know that you were cold though as there are lots of options here as I don't like being cold.

Michaelah took great care of our 9 year old Labrador. She followed our specific instructions and made sure his routine was kept uninterrupted. Michaelah updated us regularly with photos, videos and messages. We came home to a clean and tidy home, a lovely note, freshly baked cookies and a bottle of wine. Communication before and during the sit was excellent. We highly recommend Michaelah and would ask her to sit for us again in the future.
