I have co-owned a lifestyle block, (34 acres) with cows, pigs and chickens.
I have owned 2 pet dogs and been the dedicated servant to several cats. I have had pet guinea pigs and our family had pet rabbits.
I am fit and well, intelligent, kind, caring, methodical and capable!
In December 2022 I retired from a diverse career of signwriter, lab technician, Military Policewoman, Maori language Tutor. Kohanga Reo administrator. lifestyle block farmer and finally a Library Manager.
I had created a Community Library from a derelict building into a second generation haven. This was my safe place and my refuge and now I had to go out into the world.
I began with 4 months solo travelling in the UK where I thrived on walking and being self-sufficient; in charge of my own life!
On returning to NZ I packed up my Mini Cooper with my most treasured belongings and embarked on an extended road trip to discover my own country.
I treasure this opportunity to care for your homes and to meet and interact with your precious pets as you yourselves also travel and explore.

It was such a pleasure to have Ruth house sit for us. She was flexible to be able to accommodate the house-sitting arrangements at short notice which we were very appreciative of. Ruth was diligent about our animal care and the instructions we left. She formed a fondness with our dogs and all our pets were well cared for. The house & grounds were tidy.
