We are keen to look after your pet(s) and home while you are away. We are 69 and 74 years, read and walk a lot so would be good company for your pet(s).

Our most recent sit was in New Plymouth Dec 2022 looking after border collies, chickens, ducks and alpacas. Then two cats, one with medical condition in Oct 2022. We did a sit in Levin in Jan 2022 looking after a farmlet with chickens, ducks, geese, fish, cows, sheep, border collie dogs, pigs, turkeys and cats. This required careful attention to the feeding programme and needs of all the varied animals. In 2021 we were looking after 2 entertaining border terriers for 2 weeks. We walked all over Haitaitai with the dogs exploring the area. Some other sits were in Dec/Jan 2020 in Cashmere Christchurch for 3 weeks looking after Max, a boxer; in 2018, in Beachlands for 3 weeks looking after a schitzhu and a cat. In July 2016 we sat for Roland Stuart in Cairns, for 3 weeks looking after his shitzu, Angel. We also looked after 2 bichons in Christchurch for 2 wks and another bichon in Toowoomba for 4 wks in 2017. We have also looked after our sons's cavoodle, another son's heading dog cross, a labrador, boxer and a cocker spaniel.

If your dog enjoys being in the car we are happy to take him or her out with us when we explore the area - this usually includes visiting walkways and reserves. We enjoy playing with dogs (they usually entertain us with their antics) and give them the affection and attention they crave. Pets are great friends and companions.

We love house sitting in Christchurch and would like a sit there in April or October. We also would be interested in short trips if they are close to Wanganui eg New Plymouth, Taupo, Rotorua and 1- 2 weeks further away, say in Christchurch.

When we do sits in Dec/Jan we will have our two responsible teenaged grandchildren with us. They are into books, board games and animals, so very easy house guests. This has not been a problem the past few years that they have joined us.

We have done 25 home exchanges through homelink international and 19 house and pet sits. We have been asked to do several repeat sits.

We are clean, kind, reliable and honest. We are happy to keep you informed about your pet(s) by email while you are away.

We are keen gardeners so watering plants and mowing lawns are not a problem. We take pride in our home, having built two new houses and maintain our home at all times. We would take every care of yours, as we would for our own home and respect your home and belongings.

We have travelled a lot overseas and now as we are getting older prefer to travel within NZ and Australia. We have been fully vaccinated. We look forward to being your next sitter.
