65, House Sitter

Hi, I'm Chrissie - a Kiwi/Maltese woman -65- who will look after your home, garden and animals beautifully - caringly, and responsibly. I am very conscientious and adaptable, with heaps of commonsense, am meticulous and houseproud. I am a non smoker and non drinker.

I have been house sitting from June 2016 through Kiwi House Sitters, & find it a wonderful site and service - with the added pleasure of meeting some really lovely people & pets over the course of the years. I traveled between NZ & France for several years pre Covid to be with my daughter & family, renting and house sitting for friends when back in the Nelson area, and can provide several references and endorsements that testify to the excellence of my home and pet care, integrity and trustworthiness.

My preference is for longer house sits of at least a month, but I will consider shorter sits when needed in between.

I love being in the quiet of Nature in a variety of environments - light gardening, reading, doing yoga & movement, listening to music & podcasts, and a little photography. I was the owner with my ex husband of a series of successful wholesale organic bakeries for 17 years, and have worked in office admin/management and hospitality.

I have lived on a country lifestyle block, with my own dogs and cat, and am very at home in this type of environment - happy to feed chickens and animals, some light gardening and watering. I just love the special characters and companionship of animals. I'm also comfortable with a suburban property and/or no pets.

Unfortunately, due to current leg issues, I'm unable to dog walk for now, so am best suited to caring for cats/hens/birds etc

No rating Chrissie came to our lifestyle block for a couple of weeks, enabling us to go on holiday, relax and enjoy ourselves. While we were away she did an excellent job of minding our horses, cat, chooks, gardens and the house. Not only was everything immaculately clean and tidy upon our return, but she had a wonderful home-cooked meal waiting for us as well. Chrissie has been an exceptional house sitter. I cannot recommend her highly enough: she left the house in a much better state than she must have found it, the fish she looked after were swimming happily in a sparkling clean tank and the entire place had the feel of having been well looked after the entire time we were away. My husband and I had just moved into our new home before we left for an overseas holiday so not everything was finished but Chrissie looked after everything and kept us up-dated throughout her sit. Our cat was well looked after and our house was left in immaculate condition. Chrissie was the first person to respond to my ad and she was exactly who I had in mind when I wrote it. It was a positive experience for us and we have no hesitation in recommending her.
