Simon & Sarah

Sarah and I have taken the year to hike and explore the vastness of the south island, mostly on foot, and mostly in the mountains or bush. We love exploring new places. We both have plenty of experience in the outdoors for work and recreation in gardening, conservation, beekeeping and a little farming. We are looking to do some house sitting as well as woofing to break up the journey, mostly in winter when tent life becomes a little harsh.

As newcomers to this site we are lacking reviews however we have been helpx/ woofing along the way.

We have had hundreds of Helpx helpers and Sarah and Simon are among the very best. We were their first Helpx experience but they were naturals. Great workers with a great attitude! Sarah’s DOC and park ranger experience was invaluable on our 2 acres of NZ bush. Both are hard workers and take direction well. Food was easy and they were quiet and very respectful. I just wish they could have stayed longer. They are always welcome back!
