Hi.....I am from the UK and am returning to NZ in July 2024 having spent an extended time back in the UK. I have done lots of housesitting and you can see my reviews. I am looking for more housesitting while I get myself settled and find a home of my own. I am in my 50's and will be a single housesitter. I am mature and I will take good care of your home(and garden). I am clean and tidy and will leave your home as I find it.

I have grown up with cats and absolutely love them and so I would be a great sitter to look after them. I know how much we love our pets and how important it is to find the right sitter. I will make sure your pets get the best care.
When I went back to the UK two years ago I became a cat fosterer for a charity. I had around 9 cats during that time, most for a few months at a time and some for weeks. All very different cats with very different needs and sensitivities. I am really good at taking my time and gaining a cats trust. They were all successfully rehomed to lovely homes after having lived pretty much on the streets before. It was so rewarding and I love spending time with cats.

I am based on the North Shore.

I am a legal professional and work full time in the CBD but can also work from home about 3 times a week which helps with sitting jobs.

Jan did an awesome job looking after Moosie while we were away and we were so happy that she kept in contact with us during the difficult time of the Auckland floods in January. Although our house was not affected, our suburb was and the weather was awful but she took great care of Moosie and our house. I highly recommend Jan for anyone looking for a house sitter. My cats were well looked after and showed no signs of stress when we returned. Our house was also just as we left it on our return. Jan is very pleasant to deal with - I would have no hesitation in having her back to housesit again in the future.

Wonderful house sitter, very friendly and great communication. Jan looked after our cat, Cookie, and our house for 4 weeks, Sept 2019. Cookie was delighted with her new companion and took to sleeping on Jans bed by the end of the first week. House left immaculately clean and tidy. Totally recommend. Thanks Jan.

Jan took on the challenge of looking after our 6 cats while we were away. She is a true animal lover, and did everything to make our cats feel warm and loved. She also made the extra effort to give medication to one of the most difficult cats in the world! Jan is also a great communicator, really put our minds at ease while on holiday. We'd definitely have her back next time.

Thank you very much for looking after our house and pets while we were away. So sorry that the power went out as this made things a little difficult for you. We appreciate all that you did. Thor and the rabbits were very happy when we came home and obviously well looked after. Sorry about communication re the litter tray. That has since gone in the bathroom which is much better. Jan house sat for us in January 2019 and did an amazing job of looking after our home but especially our two cats. The cats were really looked after and Jan left the house very clean and tidy.
