Hello. My husband and I are visiting NZ from the USA. I’m so excited because we get to explore your beautiful country for the next few months! Scott works remotely full time and I’m taking a leave from working in business. We are currently based at a friend’s in Tauranga and are eager to get out and explore different parts of New Zealand. We have a vehicle and can travel throughout the country.

Given our fondness for dogs and cats, our friends suggested we explore house sitting as a fun way to get a feel for your country. We are animal people. Dogs and cats have been part of our family for more than 30 years. We’ve had active puppies who loved playing as well as older dogs and cats who needed special care and calm snuggling. We love being active, so if your best buddy needs regular exercise, that fits our lifestyle. We expect to stick close to your home when sitting because my husband works full-time, so your furry buds won’t get lonely.

We have traveled with our dogs extensively (even overseas). But when we had to leave them at home, we too looked for caring sitters to watch over them and our house; we understand a homeowner’s concerns.

We've taken care of homes and pets in the USA and have been invited back to do the same many times. As mentioned, we have a local base, so are very flexible with days and locations throughout New Zealand.
