My name is Adam, and I am a self-employed sportswriter and broadcaster in Wellington.
I am a non-smoker, enjoy walking and exercising and anything that involves sports. My work gives me the ability to work from home often. When I am not working, I like to travel, read, and enjoy music.
I have had a wide variety of house-sitting experiences and have owned pets of my own, including Oliver pictured above. I enjoy looking after people's pets but with my work, I am not able to commit to one of my own just yet.
I am happy to look after your garden, house, and animals whilst you are away. I am available for short and long-term sits and am happy to meet people/pets before booking sits.
I am responsible, clean, and tidy and will treat your home/animals with respect and care. I always enjoy sending pictures of animals to their owners when away as well.
I am vaccinated against COVID-19.

It was great to have Adam back again as he already knew the animals and the house so we felt confident they were in safe caring hands . Good communication and animals loved him.. We were so lucky to find Adam to take care of our dog! He was excellent at emails and communication. He took excellent care of our dog with many great walks and sent updates. And he kept the house very tidy and clean when we returned. He is easy and relaxed to deal with. I hope that he is free the next time we are away and he would be our first choice.
We returned home after a quite lengthy trip of over six weeks to find one very happy dog. Beau and Adam had obviously forged a strong bond; our pooch was well cared for and well loved. While we were away, Adam instinctively knew the right amount of photo updates to share to keep us informed but not overwhelmed. Adam proved to be a perfect fit for us all, We hope he might come again.
Great communication & really appreciated the lawns being mowed. Riley was well looked after.
Adam looked after our wee dog for 3.5weeks - she's quite energetic which I'm sure would have had it's moments but Adam seemed happy to entertain her and enjoy her company! We appreciated the updates and pictures, and the clean house and washed sheets when we got home. Thanks Adam and sorry for the slow review!

He got on really well with our dog Nova, the house was spotless when we returned - all dishes and washing done - and all of the other 'life' stuff (bins, etc) sorted.

Another good sit from Adam, just a time he's booked already for our next time away. The dogs love him, and he's a nice guy, interesting too.
Our animals were happy and healthy in Adam's care, which was our main priority. It would have been good to come back to a cleaner home but overall we would be happy to have Adam back again.

Adam took great care of the cats and the house was tidy and sheets etc washed on return. He was happy to let me know how things were going when I checked in and gave me a great rundown of where things were at when he left. Very happy with Adam's housesit.

Adam stepped in for us at the last minute when our previously confirmed house sitter suddenly said he could not do our house sit. Adam was very prompt with communication, flexible & easy going. The house and cats were well looked after plus he carefully put away courier packages that arrived for us in our absence. Thanks so much Adam! We would love to have you back again when we are away on holiday.
Adam was good - communicated with us before the house sit and sent us a picture of our cat during which was nice. The house was well looked after as was our cat. Would use again
Adam was very Professional & friendly. He made sure Otto was cared & loved during our brief break-away. He is easy to communicate with & we would recommend him for house sitting. He was great. We were very grateful that Adam could assist us on a short notice. Otto enjoyed his company. It meant we could relax & enjoy our time away.
Adam house sat for my dog for a week whilst I went away - I was lucky enough to secure Adam for the week as he has house sat before.
Adam is a wonderful house sitter. He is tidy, considerate, enjoys daily walks and sends photos! He left the house spick and span, even watering the plants even though I said not to worry. Would definitely be contacting Adam for my next trip!! Highly recommend.
My dog was very anxious, Adam showed great patience, and won him around. Sparky became settled, and Adam and he were a happy unit. Adam fulfilled his brief in spades with regard to our animals, and Adam, we thank you sincerely.

Adam house sat for my Collie dog Oliver for a week whilst I was away. Adam was fantastic! He was happy to meet before and had great communication. Adam sent me updates on Oliver and photos which was lovely so I felt so comfortable when away. Upon returning home, the house was clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend Adam to house sit!
Make sure the garden and pot plants are thriving when you get back - get a house sitter.
