I enjoy giving owners the freedom to travel without worrying about home. I use sound judgement to know what I can handle myself and what needs to be raised. A good sit means settled pets, a secure and cared-for home, and regular updates to give you reassurance without you needing to chase me for it.

I spent more than ten years as a Corrections Officer, working in roles where reliability, discretion, security awareness and calm judgement were essential. I now work as a personal trainer and also serve as a registered sports chaplain, a role centred on listening, discretion and supporting people responsibly.

I understand that you are not simply handing over keys. You are trusting someone with your pets, your private space and the routines that keep everything settled. I follow written instructions closely, respect boundaries, keep the home clean and secure, and communicate at the frequency you prefer. I raise anything unusual early rather than guessing or leaving you to discover it later.

I house-sit independently and do not bring visitors or guests unless this has been expressly agreed beforehand. I only accept sits whose care requirements and time commitments I can meet properly.

Before confirming, I am happy to meet or video call, learn your pets’ routines, and agree on updates, emergencies and household expectations. My aim is simple: you return to relaxed pets and a secure, tidy home that feels exactly as it should.

Note: My working day is usually split into two "half days" with a break in between, rather than one continuous eight-hour day - an early-morning client rush and a later afternoon/evening block . For that reason, I prefer sits within easy reach of my gym in Morningside. It also means I can usually return during the middle of the day, so pets are not routinely left alone for a full working day. Before accepting a sit, I will confirm my exact schedule and make sure it suits your pets’ needs.

Pet care

I grew up on a farm and I've looked after everything from dogs, to cows, to baby possums after their mums would crawl into traps.
