Hi! We’re Carolin and Jessica, two 20-year-old Germans travelling New Zealand. We’re reliable, friendly and experienced with dogs, cats and small animals. We have previous housesitting experience.

We love housesitting because it allows us to experience the country in a more personal way while spending time with animals. We also appreciate the opportunity to live in a home and become part of a local community.

Carolin is creative, organised and reliable, while Jessica is open-minded, friendly and helpful. We balance each other out perfectly, and since we’ve known each other for so long, we work great as a team.
We are respectful, tidy and happy to follow your routines and instructions to make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable and loved while you are away.

Pet care

We already have experience with housesitting in Australia, where we looked after two dogs in Adelaideover Christmas. We have also cared for cats and snakes belonging to friends while they were on vacation.

We both rode horses for around 10 years in Germany, and helped around the stable. During a Workaway experience we helped look after different farm animals such as chicken, horses, goats and cheep

We’ll be arriving in Auckland on the afternoon of 12 August 2026 and will be staying in New Zealand until 30 September 2026. We already have tickets for a Conan Gray concert in Auckland on 26 September, but apart from that, our plans are completely flexible.
