We’re Charlie and Angel, a newly married couple from England with a shared love for adventure, animals and the great outdoors!

favoriteWhy we love house sitting

Travelling to new places, particularly New Zealand, has been a dream of ours, and we can't think of a better way to experience it than caring for wonderful pets along the way.

Together, we offer a combination of practical experience, professional training, and a genuine love for animals! Animals have been a part of our lives for as long as we can remember. Growing up surrounded by dogs, cats, chickens, and horses gave us a natural confidence in caring for animals and a genuine appreciation for the companionship they bring.

Growing up surrounded by dogs, cats, chickens, and horses gave us a natural confidence in caring for animals and a genuine appreciation for the companionship they bring.

Charlie has a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management, through which he gained over 300 hours of practical experience in animal care and husbandry for a range of domestic, farm and exotic animals. Charlie has also previously volunteered at the National Animal Welfare Trust and at two individual veterinary practices in the UK, gaining valuable hands-on experience caring for animals in professional settings. During his time at the National Animal Welfare Trust, Charlie completed his Open Paw training, allowing him to work with animals that were vulnerable, nervous and recovering from difficult circumstances.

Alongside her undergraduate degree, Angel holds a Master's degree in Global Wildlife Health and Conservation. Throughout her studies, Angel gained practical experience in handling and caring for a wide range of species, from reptiles to small mammals. Her academic background provided her with a strong understanding of animal health, welfare, behaviour and conservation, further strengthening her ability to provide attentive and knowledgable care.

We are actively gaining new housesitting experience in New Zealand, and are currently looking after 1 dog and 1 cat in Northland.

We have both grown up with a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, and horses. Charlie has looked after his aunt's home and her multiple dogs on a number of occasions over the years. As his aunt runs her own professional pet-sitting business, he has gained valuable hands-on experience caring for pets in a home environment. In his college years, Charlie also took on paid work walking multiple dogs in his local neighbourhood. Both Charlie and Angel frequently walk family dogs back in the UK, including two whippets. Angel also spent two weeks house and pet sitting in Australia, looking after one dog and one cat in 2018.
