I love being able to give pets comfort, routine and company while their owners are away. It feels special to care for a home properly, keep animals settled, and experience new places in a slower, more meaningful way :)

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, and occasionally horses! I’ve always been the kind of person who feels happiest when there are animals around. Since moving out of my family home, I’ve really missed having fur babies close by, which is one of the reasons house sitting feels so special to me.

I have several years of house and pet-sitting experience in Australia and have cared for a range of pets with different needs, including dogs with injuries, disabilities, anxiety and medication routines. I’m patient, gentle and very aware that every pet has their own personality, habits and comfort zones.

I’m also naturally very tidy, practical and respectful in other people’s homes. I’m happy to follow detailed instructions, keep your pets in their normal routine, send regular updates, collect mail, water and maintain plants and gardens, and overall make sure your home feels cared for while you’re away.

I understand it can feel like a big thing to leave your pets and home with someone new, so I take that trust seriously and as a privilege! :)

I have experience caring for pets with different needs and personalities, including anxious dogs, older pets, pets with injuries, disabilities and medication routines. I’m confident following detailed instructions, keeping pets in their usual routine, providing walks, feeding, company, enrichment and plenty of affection.

My previous pet-sitting reviews mention that I’m caring, communicative, trustworthy and attentive, especially with pets who need a little extra care.

OMG I can't recommend Lucy & James highly enough! Firstly there was an issue with the house sit book & these two just pulled through with no fuss & still honored their commitment. Secondly they genuinely were just amazing! Awesome with comms, keeping us up to date on the cats & sending photos which showed the cats clearly bonded really well with them both! They dealt with Katie & her medications with no issues & the house was absolutely immaculate when I got home even washing their ... MoreOMG I can't recommend Lucy & James highly enough! Lucy and James took very good care of my little dog Holly, sharing lots of pictures of her. They kindly left unwanted food behind. They left the bathroom and bedroom clean and laundered the bedding. The kitchen was clean, and the carpet was vacuumed, but housekeeping was not meticulous: living room furniture not cleaned and dusted, vacuum cleaner not emptied, greasy pan left in oven, and recycled containers were not cleaned before being put in the yellow bin. We were surprised by the housekeeping comments, as we spent considerable time thoroughly cleaning before your return, including areas beyond those we had used ourselves. We laundered the bedding, cleaned the bathroom and kitchen, vacuumed throughout, wiped down furniture, sideboards and cupboards, and purchased additional cleaning supplies during our stay. We’re sorry we missed emptying the vacuum and a few smaller details. Had we known there were specific additional housekeeping expectations, we would have happily accommodated them. We’re very glad you were happy with our care of Holly and our communication. We absolutely adored looking after her and wish you both all the best.

We couldn't recommend Lucy and her partner highly enough! They were absolutely amazing from start to finish. They took such wonderful care of our home and treated our dogs as if they were their own, giving them so much love, attention and care. It was such a relief knowing our pets were in such capable and caring hands while we were away. We came home to happy, relaxed dogs and a spotless house.
