I am fit and active, 50+ years young. I am a home owner, pet lover and travel enthusiast. My interests mainly revolve around outdoor activities, hiking, biking, paddleboarding and camping.

favoriteWhy I love house sitting

I look at this as a great opportunity to combine my love for travel and desire to hang out with some furry friends, the passing of my beloved Bosco left a huge gap that I haven't filled yet.

My pets as a child were a dog and a rabbit, I was a keen horserider, I spent most weekends at the local stables taking care of the ponies. More recently I was very fortunate to spend 15 years with my little bestie Bosco, a slightly anxious rescue dog, she was always by my side on all of my outdoor adventures.

I am a regular traveller, I have stayed in many peoples homes and always had glowing references. As a homeowner I am well aware of the complexities of taking good care of a property. I have a high level of attention to detail and organization and I am proactive in taking initiative with any unforseen situations.
I recently spent six months in Italy during the summer and did some volunteer work at a biodynamic community veggie garden.
I also recently worked at an organic farm in New Zealand collecting 3500 eggs a day!

My beloved fur baby, Bosco, was a rescue dog, from age 4 months until 15 years she lived a full and active life with me. I haven't reached the stage of taking on another four legged bestie just yet, so I am a bit starved of doggie company !

I have had experience with dogs, cats,horses, rabbits & chickens over the years.

Being an Airbnb host and guest I am well aware of the responsibilities involved in taking care of someones property and of course their most precious fur friends.

My current job is a part time, work from home role which enables me to to spend a lot of time
with the animals during a housesit

I have been house and petsitting for the last three years, so far I have looked after a variety of homes and animals in New Zealand and England. Read moreI have been house and petsitting for the last three years, so far I have looked after a variety of homes and animals in New Zealand and England. I have been invited back to some of my sits for a second stint. My downfall is that I tend to fall in love with the pets within the first 24 hours!! and they have all bonded with me. As my own dog was a rescue dog with some anxiety traits I am aware of how each animal is different and tailor my approach to them accordingly. I think the key to a succesful pet sit is to keep the animals daily routines as close as possible to what they are accustomed to with their family.

Seriously Sally is possibly the best housesitter we have had to date; and we haven't had any reason for complaining before! It worked out so well for her and for us; and her initiative and consideration for Johnny and our space was gold standard. She asked pertinent and timely questions, otherwise leaving us in peace. We hope to be able to host Sally again in the future.
P.S. the raspberry muffins that she made & left for us were delicious

Sally from the start of the process was fantastic given the distance from her home to the UK she put us at ease at every stage. The dogs had a fantastic time with her and bonded very easily.
Leaving the dogs for the first time and also having someone in your house was a slight concern but after the way they were looked after and the care and consideration taken with the house I would not hesitate to use the service again.

Sally was an amazing sitter.
She come to our home to meet us just before we left, which made me feel so at ease. Both Pig and Sausage warmed to her straight away, and within minutes of us leaving were having cuddles on the sofa.
Our home was well looked after, super clean and tidy when we arrived home. Sally had even remade the bed for us with new bedding (this was such a lovely touch)
Communication was great, with photos and videos of the girls.
