I love meeting new animals. They all have such a unique perspective on life! I also love my homeland and will enjoy moving around and maybe seeing new places I have not been to before.

I am an expat Kiwi returning to my homeland now that I have retired from the wine industry.

I am looking forward some day to purchasing back here in our gorgeous country but for the foreseeable future I wish to leave my options open and house and pet sit to see where I want to eventually hang my hat.

Animals have always been a part of my life from when I was a child right to today. Mostly dogs but also any stray cat that has landed on my door step. My current feline friend has lived with me for 17 years and having only 3 paws does not stop him from having a great life! I will miss him dearly when I leave the US.

In a past life I very proudly wore the silver fern at Commonwealth Games, World Indoor Games and also selected for Moscow Olympics 1980 track team. Still own the NZ 400m record (unbelievably now 45 years since I ran the time!).

I am, of course, a Non-smoker.

Very tidy and pedantic about leaving a place tidier than I found it!

A great gardener – love my veggie garden (have had a community garden in USA for 17 years), roses and any plant that attracts bees and butterflies.

Can mow a lawn although do not really want to mow a mountain!

I will LOVE your animals to pieces. Will walk your dog, feed and cuddle you cat and even look after your chickens. I currently own 5 lovely Delaware hens.

As I am now retired you do not need to worry about your pets being lonely during the day. I will be there with them and only leave them for supermarket runs and an odd outing.

I am happy to provide references from both NZ and USA pet sitting jobs I have done. I also have a background check form the FBI I can show you. As a Green Card holder you can imagine the hoops I had to go through to get into USA initially back in 2008. I would of course like to meet with you before hand if possible. I can be contacted via Whats App if you want to see my face!

Pet care

I have looked after very large dogs (ex police German Shepherd dog), small dogs as well as all types and ages of cats. Lately have had the experience of caring for chickens (loved it and the fresh eggs)

Will be traveling back to NZ permanently on 19th April 2026. So from late April early May I will be available to house sit.

Kim was really kind in coming a few days before we left so the cats could get used to her wich was really important to us as one of them is blind and deaf. We appreciated the messages and photo's we got send on a regular basis. Kim kept everything tidy and pruned our roses. Thank you for your help KIm as it wasn't easy.
Look no further than Kim as your next house and pet sitter. We were extremely fortunate to find Kim who looked after our dog and 2 cats for 8 days recently She really was fabulous with our animals and we came home to happy pets, a very tidy house and our dinner cooked for us! She was honest, reliable and a great communicator while we were away. We really can't recommend her more highly and would love to have her back one day.
