Mature couple, love the outdoors, walking, cycling. Since retiring our aim is to see as much of our beautiful New Zealand as we can and house sitting gives the perfect opportunity for us to do that.

favoriteWhy we love house sitting

It would give us the flexibility and variety for us to travel in our caravan but to also house sit along the way. We love meeting fellow Kiwis who are passionate about their pets and the area that they live in. It is a good way to get local knowledge about the parts of NZ that we haven't yet seen.

We are a mature couple and have been together for 21 years, retiring recently after selling our house and downsizing to a tiny home in beautiful Kaiteriteri.
Our plan is to buy a caravan this Spring and tour New Zealand throughout the years to come.
We have done pet sitting before with a large active dog who loves long walks as we do too. We would welcome pet/housing sitting opportunities of any kind, be it rural or urban.

Pet care

We have done 3 pet sittings with a large boisterous dog near Christchurch. I have had my own dogs in the past but we don't currently have pets as we plan to do a lot of traveling.

From 16th May to 14th June we are heading to the North Island via the Ferry. We are happy to consider anything available between these dates and are flexible on location apart from north of Auckland.

I felt like we had hit the jackpot when Julia and Jeremy agreed to house/pet sit for us. My animals were well cared for, including my breeding cats and kittens. Our dog got to enjoy great company and be spoilt with walks daily sometimes two. The house was clean and tidy and communication was fab, even sending us updates while we were away. Thanks guys, you made this trip easy for us knowing we left our house and pets in good hands Safe travels home
