We are currently in New Zealand and really enjoying exploring the country. We are responsible and tidy people, with previous dog owner experience. Open to long and short term stays.

Although we don't have a lot of experience house sitting, it is a fantastic opportunity for us to explore the beautiful NZ, which is why we're here! After working full-time jobs back in the UK, we are ready for the slower, home-body lifestyle that house sitting would bring.

We are an approachable, caring and reliable couple from the West Midlands of the UK, who are very serious about having fun. We've been together for two years and have started our adventure exploring New Zealand for 23 months on working holiday visas.

We have experience as dog owners and dog sitting, with a particular love for greyhounds. We will miss our furry friends back home, so homes with pets would be a treat!

Al has previously owned two rescue greyhounds, as well as regularly volunteering from the SPCA looking after the rescue pups.

Jess works remotely from home and loves to hang out with animals.

We are both non-smokers and have our own vehicle.

We are looking forward to opening this new door, and all the adventures that will come. Thank you for considering us! :)

Pet care

Previous experience dog sitting an adorable mini schnauzer called Wilbur.

Al- dog owner all my life to grey hounds, dealing with the extremes of high and energy bursts and docile snoozes. And previous owner of guinea pigs.

Jess- previous owner experience of fish.

We want to experience as much of New Zealand as possible and would love to be able to do that while looking after animals.

This was our first time using House Sitters, so we were initially a little nervous about leaving our four-legged family with people we didn’t know. But after a phone call and meeting Jess and Al, who drove all the way from Auckland to meet us beforehand, we immediately had a great feeling about them! They were amazing with our dogs, horses, cows and chickens. Our girl Hazel can be quite anxious, but they took such wonderful care of her and all the animals. They even moved the cows and horses ... They even moved the cows and horses between paddocks, and the horses enjoyed lots of brushing. We also loved receiving lots of photos and updates while we were away. They are an amazing and caring couple. We would happily have Jess and Al back anytime and highly recommend them! ❤️
