We’re Abigail and Dylan, a responsible, respectful couple who have recently relocated to the Taranaki region. We’d love to have the wonderful opportunity to get to know both the people and the area before settling into our own home, and house sitting allows us to do this in a meaningful, hands-on way while caring for homes along the way.

We’re conscientious, tidy, and reliable people who genuinely take pride in the homes we live in. Previous landlords and property managers would describe us as quiet, respectful tenants who maintain a clean and well-organised living environment, communicate clearly, and always honour agreed expectations. We don’t host parties or large gatherings, keep noise to a minimum, and are very mindful of neighbours and security.

Our lifestyle is calm and routine-based. Outside of work and study, we enjoy cooking, reading, exercise, and exploring local cafés and beaches. On weekends we love getting outdoors for walks and coastal adventures, but we’re equally happy enjoying a quiet night in. This lifestyle means we’re attentive, present, and consistent house sitters.

We are comfortable caring for homes, gardens, and pets, and we understand how important it is for homeowners to feel confident that their property and animals are being well looked after. We’re happy to follow specific routines, provide regular updates, and ensure everything is left clean, secure, and well maintained.

We do have a much-loved dog, Echo, who is friendly, well-trained, and used to a calm household. You are more than welcome to meet our lovely gal! However, we completely understand that not all properties are suitable for pets.

We’re seeking house-sitting opportunities where we can offer genuine peace of mind, treating your home with the same care and consideration we would our own. We’d love the opportunity to look after your place while you’re away.

Dylan additionally grew up on a lifestyle block, so he’s familiar with cows and property care, and he also worked on a large commercial farm for six months.

Dylan grew up on a lifestyle block, so he’s familiar with cows and property care. He also worked on a large commercial farm for six months in his early 20's which gave him valuable experience in this area.

We couldn't have asked for better sitters. Abigail was so easy to communicate with, she showed a lot of care for our dog and the property. We couldn't ask for a better experience. Libby was very well cared for, clean and content when we returned and the house was immaculate. I highly recommend Abigail and Dylan as a sitter and hope they will be available again in the future.
Amazing house sitters, and I would highly recommend them. They looked after our house and our cat wonderfully and were excellent at communication. I would say their attention to detail and care of the house went above and beyond what was expected.
Abi and Dylan were two fantastic house sitters. They took excellent care of my dog and Abi sent me pictures of him every few days on various walks and excursions around the neighbourhood, together with their own dog. This is such a relief when you are away for a long period - to know that your pet is so well cared for. The house was very well looked after too with fresh linen on the bed to welcome me home! I would highly recommend them.
