When we travel we very much enjoy spending time connecting and getting to know a community. We enjoy being outdoors and new experiences and are excited about this opportunity to take the very best of care of people’s pet(s), their home and property.

We are newly retired, Hugh after thirty years as a marketing associate for a U.S. food service company and Josephine after close to forty years in property management, community and economic development. Our home base was in the U.S., now we are dividing our time in NZ, where Josephine grew up, and traveling.
We have owned and managed rental property for thirty years and restored a number of historic homes. Growing up, and when raising our family, pets have always been a part of our household ... Growing up, and when raising our family, pets have always been a part of our household including laying hens, we look forward to making sure that your pets are given the best of love and care while you are away.
We have planned and worked to have an active retirement. We are able and willing to take on most anything that is needed to take care
of your pets and home and any special requests that you may have so that you can fully enjoy your time away.

Hugh and Josephine are super stars in our eyes and in that of our staffy Mak. They are such wonderful, kind & caring people. Came home to a wonderfully clean house and very happy dog. It is one of the first times I have gone away and not thought or worried about our precious Mak. Excellent communication....you cannot go wrong with Hugh & Jo looking after your home and pets. Highly recommend.
Josephine & Hugh were good communicators and kindly washed the sheets and towels before they left my home. Appreciated the photo of Rani on Jo's knees as well :)
Josephine and Hugh were amazing. A super nice and considerate couple who looked after the house and all the animals with great care. They weren’t phased by the incoming cyclone or the power being off for a day. They kept in good communication with us as needed. We’d welcome them back anytime and highly recommend them to others! We hope they will be available for a future housesit for us again sometime. Wolfie had great outings and walks with them! They did an amazing job.
We loved having Josephine and Hugh look after our place. The dogs loved them immediately. The house looked great when we returned. Thanks for ensuring that we had a stress free weekend.
Josephine and Hugh, thank you for a great house sit. I can’t recommend these guys enough, we were a bit nervous leaving our 5 month old puppy but Josephine and Hugh were relaxed, easy to communicate with before and during our trip. The house was clean and tidy to return too and our pup was very happy. Thanks again 😊
