We’re Igna & Clara, a friendly 30-year old couple from Spain travelling New Zealand with a Working Holiday Visa. We love nature, animals and exploring rural life while taking good care of homes.

We love house sitting because it lets us experience local life and connect with people and pets while exploring New Zealand. We truly enjoy caring for animals, gardens and homes as if they were our own.

We’re Igna and Clara from Spain. We’re spending a year in New Zealand with a Working Holiday Visa, alternating jobs with travel to discover this amazing country.

We love hiking, running, cooking, meeting local people and learning about Kiwi culture. We enjoy rural areas, open spaces, gardens and especially homes surrounded by nature.

We adore dogs (and cats too!) and are open to caring for all kinds of animals. We’ve completed several home sittings across New Zealand, taking care of dogs, cats, and even chickens in different areas of both the South and North Islands. Back in Europe, we’ve also done multiple home exchanges, staying in and hosting homes in different countries, which has given us great experience in respecting and looking after other people’s spaces.

We’re responsible, tidy and easy-going, and we’d love to make your time away worry-free while keeping your home and pets happy and cared for.

Pet care

We completed a one-month pet sit in Taupō taking care of two beautiful Labradors, 12 chickens, lorikeets and turtles and fish, managing daily routines and animal care. Read moreWe completed a one-month pet sit in Taupō taking care of two beautiful Labradors, 12 chickens, lorikeets and turtles and fish, managing daily routines and animal care. We also did a 12-day sit in Wellington looking after a senior cat, providing calm and attentive care. In the South Island, we cared for an energetic one-year-old Golden Retriever in Queenstown and a very affectionate cat in Cromwell. Excellent references from all sits are available upon request.

Clara and Igna were great! Animals were well looked after, great communication and the house was left very tidy at the end of their stay! Definitely recommend!

We loved having Clara and Ignacio sit for our dogs and birds while we were away for a few weeks. From the meet and greet we felt confident that our animals would be loved and in good hands. Clara and Ignacio were wonderful communicators keeping us updated on the animals during the stay. The dogs were treated to lovely beach walks and are probably now disappointed that we are home! The house was left beautifully clean. Would highly recommend them to sit for your house and pets.
Clara and Ingnacio are friendly, respectful and caring and Tabitha warmed to them immediately. They looked after Tabitha well and sent regular photos and videos. Their communication was great. The house was clean and tidy when they left. We would not hesitate to recommend them for future housesits.
Thank you Ignacio and Clara for your love and care of our furbabies and for looking after our home so considerately. It was lovely to meet you both and we would welcome you back anytime.
Absolutely loved having Ignacio and Clara stay, they took amazing care of our dog, sent us photo updates and left the house spotless. Hope to have them stay again and would recommend to anyone that is looking for a house sitter.
Unfortunately I was not able to meet with Clara and Igna before I left. The house left clean and tidy. The garden was in good condition although a couple of pots had dried out due to them leaving early in the morning and the day was hot before I got home. Maddie was surprised to see me and took a day to forgive me for leaving her so long!! Thought she'd lost her purr but it's back now. Calra and Igna were able to stay an extra day which was a big help to me when my return date hadn't been ... MoreUnfortunately I was not able to meet with Clara and Igna before I left. Ignacio and Clara were great house sitters. Prompt communication and updates and our cat was very happy. Our house was left clean and tidy.
Beautiful people, we are not home yet but we know through communication and friends who have been helping Ignacio & Clara that they have looked after our house and animals better than we do, i know my dogs will miss them from the photos, they have been so well looked after, I hope we meet again, even though we only met at the beginning I feel we have become friends and will definately be keeping intouch, they have ask for updates on Mo and Fletcher which shows a bond has been created, let’s ...
