Pet care

I have had many of my own pets - cats, dogs, fish, birds, chickens, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs, sheep and goats and I've done a bit of calf rearing.

I am very flexible, I just may need some time to get to where the house-sitting is as I am based in Christchurch. If house-sitting is available on the North Island then it would be most convenient if I can work it out so the locations are conveniently located so I'm not driving back and forth.

Lucille was wonderful. She communicated right through the process. She looked after Murphy really well and he seemed very happy getting lots of walks and cuddles. It was lovely to come home to a beautiful clean home. Thanks Lucille from Murphy and us.

Lucille is amazing! She was so kind and loving with Wookiee! Wookiee is a big dog and she had no trouble caring for him - he loved her from the minute he met her! She was very communicative and let us know if anything came up or if she had questions. She sent us photos and videos of some of Wookiee's activities and checked in on a regular, but not invasive, basis. In addition to taking such great care of Wookiee, she took fantastic care of our home, and when we returned from our trip our house ... MoreLucille is amazing! Lucille is awesome. Luna is a little needy and wary around strangers but apparently Lucille is now her new best friend. She even bought her ping pong balls which Luna just loves. Comms and pics basically confirmed that Luna was in great hands. Sadly the weather was awful so she couldn’t get too see the Wairarapa in all it’s sunny glory. My home was left even tidier than I left. Lucille is a lovely, warm and wonderful house sitter..Luna and I highly. recommend.

Your communication was impeccable and we really appreciate what You have done while we were away. You are a to performing house sitter . Though we have absolutely no issue to recommend you we do not want to say it too loudly as Denis then won’t be able to have you back.😂😂. Thanks a million times and we will see you again.

Very happy with Lucille. She did a fab job of looking after our house and animals while we were away.

Things ended up being a bit more hectic than expected as we suddenly found ourselves with a new puppy. Lucille took it all in her stride and looked after him alongside our two cats, who were still adjusting, and Bear, our older Labrador. It’s a busy household at the best of times, but she handled it so ... MoreLucille was a fantastic sitter. She’s such a lovely person and a great communicator. The puppy definitely kept me on my toes (just like any puppy would!) but I didn't mind - he's adorable, and there were no messes to clean up inside as he is already house trained, and when it was bed time he settled down immediately with no issues at all. MoreThe puppy definitely kept me on my toes (just like any puppy would!) but I didn't mind - he's adorable, and there were no messes to clean up inside as he is already house trained, and when it was bed time he settled down immediately with no issues at all. Bear was very easy (he sleeps most of the time) and Chloe (the other cat) was friendly in small doses but likes her space so she would curl up and keep to herself most of the time.

We had Lucille come to house/cat sit for us for a second time. Lucille is such a lovely, warm, kind and very caring person. An amazing housesitter, cat cuddler, critter removal expert. We very highly recommend her for any housesit.

We had Lucille come and look after our cat and home. Lucille is an absolute gem. Our cat was so well looked after. The communication was absolutely wonderful and she gave us the reassurance and peace of mind to allow us to thoroughly enjoy our time away. Our house was spotless and superbly looked after. So glad we made this connection with Lucille and we have already booked her in for our next trip away. Very highly recommend this lady :)
