We are your friendly, reliable and trustable German backpacker care pair with quite a lot of experience in house sitting.

favoriteWhy we love house sitting

We get in touch with great locals much more deeply than in any other situation. We love, that it's a win-win-win situation. The owner knows their house and pets are fine, the animals don't have to leave their known environment, we can stay at awesome places for free and maybe find new friends.

We are a German backpacker couple on working holiday visa.
We came here last September and are currently located in Auckland.

We will stay on the north island for the rest of our time in New Zealand as our camper has no heater.

Back home in Germany, we lived together for the last 8 years in different flats and cities. We have lots of potted plants and cacti. Despite that, we have a main coon cat called Maja and a Greek tortoise (Minos) which we take care of.

We have quite a lot of experience with house sitting. We traveled around Canada and the US for 13 months in 2023/2024 and did 4 different house sits in the greater Vancouver area (I linked our Canadian house sitting profile here and hope you can see our great reviews from there). Also we already did 3 house sittings in NZ, in Auckland and Christchurch.

We love animals of all kind and size, so we would take care of everything that is alive. :D

As typical for Germany, we are always on time, reliable and honest. We both worked full-time (8 to 5), so we are used to well scheduled days.

We are not planing to work while we house sit. So we have plenty of time to take care of your pets and property while you are gone.

Pet care

We took care of 4 different dogs and an old cat in Canada. Here in NZ we looked after 2 small dogs.
We own a cat and a tortoise here in Germany (they live with Johanna's parents while we are gone).
Sometimes we pet sit the two cats from Johanna's sister, when she is away on vacation.

Johanna has been horse riding as a hobby when she was younger.
We are also used taking care of chickens, rabbits and hamsters.

These guys were great and took great care of our pets and house. Would recommend them.
Jonathan and Johanna were caring and considerate house sitters. They looked after our home for 10 days. The house was clean and tidy on our return. Our dog Milo was well cared for and we received updated photos of him during their stay. We would most definitely recommend this lovely couple.
The best house sitters ever. 5 star. Something isn't working with the star rating. Wonderful with my dog Murphy. I would recommend them to anyone.
