We are very much enjoying our house-sitting journey and have had the opportunity to care for some fantastic dogs (big & little), cats (both shy & cuddly), sheep, horses, parrots, ducks & chooks. Hoping to stay in more great locations and meet more fabulous people and their pets.

We are currently on an adventure, travelling around NZ in our 12m bus - with a combination of freedom camping and housesitting.

Vicky is experienced in caring for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, iguanas, sheep, chickens, parrots, ducks, horses and gardens.

Griff is a keen DIYer who is handy in fixing things and caring for Vicky! As we are retired, your pets will enjoy consistent companionship.

Pet care

We have owned and cared for a variety of pets and animals in the past and now have several housesits with Kiwi House Sitters under our belts - with great reviews!

We are comfortable around big dogs and horses as well as reptiles and birds.

We feel incredibly lucky to have had Vicky and Griff look after our home and our dog. They kept us updated every day with photos and little messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious our dog was happy, well cared for, and getting plenty of love and attention. We came home to a well-looked-after house and a very content pup. We'd happily have Vicky and Griff back again in a heartbeat... although it looks like there might be some competition, as it's ... How lucky we were to find Vicky & Griff! They were wonderful house-sitters for our lifestyle block in Kumeu. They went over and above what we expected from house-sitters in looking after our sensitive spoodle, chickens, horses and sheep as well as keeping things running. We received daily Whatsapp with pictures and attended to some issues that occurred when we were away. This enabled us to have a much needed break knowing everything was well taken care of. Vicky & Griff were wonderful housesitters. Our pets were very well looked after, and the house was spotless when we arrived home. We received lots of photos and updates showing what Velvet and Ollie were up to, which we really appreciated. We’ve already asked them back for two more sits, but unfortunately they’re fully booked! We would definitely recommend them and would happily have them back again.

We love Vicky & Griff, they are welcomed house guest anytime. Not only does our dog love them but they are so easy to deal with, which makes everything easier! The house is always clean & tidy when we get home, the dog is loved & looked after. Communications are great, updates regularly so you never have to worry. I honestly would not hesitate in having these lovely people look after my house or pet.

Vicky and Griff were amazing. Arrived home to happy relaxed pets and a clean house. Great communication the whole time. Would highly recommend them and will hopefully get to use them again in the future.
We would definitely recommend Griff & Vicki to look after your home and animals. Communication was excellent receiving daily updates on our Dog Leo along with photos. Our home was so clean and tidy and the radio and light left on for our dog. They kindly left us some milk and bread which was so appreciated. Thank you Vicky & Griff. Vicky and Griff were awesome! We felt so at ease on holiday knowing our dog Kit was well looked after. We received regular photos & updates about Kit and could see she was very comfortable with them. The house was spotless when we got homes. Thanks so much! See you again next month 😃☺️

Vicky and Griff were fantastic looking after our 5 sheep, 2 cats and numerous chickens. Plenty of updates while we were away. Even left bread and milk for our return. House was spotlessly clean and tidy. I have utmost confidence that they would be able to handle any issues during a house sit. They warned us of an incoming storm and asked if there were any specific precautions they should take. Communication was great. A very capable couple and can’t recommend enough.

Vicky and Griff were wonderful. They sent photos and messages each day to let me know all was well. I was nervous leaving my 4 month old puppy for the first time but I didn’t need to worry. I felt comfortable with Vicky and Griffin as soon as I met them. The house was lovely and tidy when I returned. The pets were relaxed and acted like I’d just popped out to the store - a good sign that they hadn’t missed me much, and had been well loved. There was even milk left for me so I didn’t need to ...
