We are booked untill July 26 then Europe for 6 months pet sitting.
It's a great privilege to be chosen as sitters.

Pet- house sitting allows us to enjoy time with animals, gardening, and the freedom to travel. Caring for a wide variety of pets is an opportunity we’re grateful for, it’s a more relaxed, home-based alternative to kennels for pets, allowing them to stay comfortable in their own familiar environment.

In 2022, our sweet Fox Terrier and Jack Russell, both 18 years old, passed away. For the first time in many years, we are now pet-free. Twelve months later, we choose to embrace the opportunity in front of us to travel in our caravan while pet and house sitting.

We miss our pets deeply, and while the temptation to welcome more pets into our lives is strong, we see this next chapter as an opportunity to care for other people’s pets while travelling around NZ and overseas, including visiting my daughter in Switzerland.

Sitting allows us to enjoy pet cuddles, gardening, and travel, while caring for homes and animals in a wide variety locations.
Over the years, we have owned and loved dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens, ducks, birds, and a goldfish pond.
I have also worked on farms caring for stock, including experience with lambing and calfing. I’m also a keen gardener, while Tony, as an engineer, is very practical and confident with machinery and lawn mowers — and of course enjoys a ride-on when the opportunity arises.
We are both non-smokers and non-vapers, and enjoy the occasional gin, wine or beer with dinner.
It is an honour to care for other people’s beloved family animals, as well as their home and garden, while they are away—whether relaxing on holiday or travelling for work. If your fluffy, furry, or feathery family members allow it, we’d love to share a cuddle or a gentle scratch.
We have a Ford Ranger with a canopy, which can safely transport larger dogs for trips to the beach or park for walks and runs Or the wet and sandy dogs.
We take great care to be respectful of your home, privacy, and personal space. Clear communication and reliability are very important to us, and we never forget we are looking after you home for you.

We travel with a 9-metre off-grid caravan. Ideally, we appreciate a place to park it during a sit.
We are happy to sleep in the caravan or house, depending on the pets’ needs. For shorter sits, we may be able to sit without our caravan, depending on the pets and circumstances.

I have worked doing lambing, calf rearing.
I have owned 2 horses, Years ago now. And of course owned both chickens and ducks. Had a fish pond and Birds.
I am very comfortable around animals.

We couldn’t ask for better house-sitters. Phillipa and Tony are a lovely couple who looked after our house and doggies as if they were their own. They spoilt our dogs with lots of walks and cuddles. Great communication with regular updates and photos. We came home to a spotlessly clean house, lawns mowed and happy dogs - can’t recommend highly enough!

We feel very fortunate to have had Phillippa and Tony complete a three week sit minding our house and dog. They are experienced and friendly sitters. Their regular communication and photos gave us peace of mind that that our dog was getting lots of care and attention. We came home to a very happy animal and a well cared for home. We would highly recommend them and would love to have them back anytime.

We felt so comfortable leaving our home and animals in the care of Phillippa and Tony. Fantastic communication and flexibility. They take a lot of pride in what they do and it shows in how well our property looked and how happy our animals were when we got back! Highly recommend them both!!

Our property is off-grid and solar powered, so there were a few things they needed to keep their eye on to keep things ticking over. When we returned the property was looking fantastic and the animals were happy. They had watered our polytunnels and pot plants and weeded gardens and mowed lawns. Great communication and photos.General news of what was going on. the animals were well looked after and a few extra things done for us which was greatly appreciated. We were very comfortable leaving our home, and most importantly, our animals, in Phillippa and Tony's care for 12 days. They took great care of our boisterous 9 month old puppy, as well as the cat, chickens and sheep. Excellent communication, checking in regularly regarding the animals. We found the house in a very clean and tidy state upon our return. We would be very happy to have Phillippa and Tony stay again.
Phillippa and Tony parked their caravan next to our home and looked after our animals (cats, ducks and chickens, cattle) for a few days. Recommended.
