A bit about us:
Jesse (38) is a Lead Software Developer who enjoys the flexibility of working from home. He’s calm, patient, and especially great with dogs. He has experience with dogs that have strong personalities and need consistency, and he previously owned a Basenji, which, for those who know the breed, is not the easiest to train. He’s confident, consistent, and understands how to build trust with dogs in a gentle way.

I’m Anita (35), and I manage this profile. I’ve been house sitting for over 10 years, starting back when I first arrived in New Zealand as a backpacker. What began as a practical way to travel has turned into something I genuinely love, and now share with Jesse. I’m active, love the outdoors, and I’m always happy to take dogs along for walks, runs, or hikes if that suits their routine.

Over the years, I’ve cared for a wide range of homes and animals. My longest sit was 20 months in Paraparaumu, where I looked after a cat and maintained a large garden, including watering, weeding, lawn mowing, and general upkeep. Not going to lie it wasn't the easiest job but I managed to keep most plants alive 😁

Together, we’re comfortable caring for cats, dogs of all sizes, as well as fish and birds. We’re both tidy, respectful, and naturally home-oriented. We’re not party people, we prefer quiet evenings and early nights, so your home will be treated with care and consideration.

We genuinely enjoy the companionship pets bring, especially since we both spend so much time working from home. It’s something we don’t take for granted.

I’m vegan and Jesse is vegetarian, but we’re both completely comfortable in non-vegan households (it’s not a religion after all).

We’re always happy to meet beforehand or start with a quick call, so you can get to know us and feel confident about your decision. And of course, it gives your pets a chance to meet us too, their opinion matters just as much 😊

It was our first time leaving our rescue cat who is scared of anyone outside the family. They were absolutely incredible at slowly getting to know her, and building her trust. They were cat whisperers, putting in so Much time, energy and love into making her feel happy and safe with them. Our cat fell in love with them and we got lots of updates and pictures of her so happy with them. It made our holiday stress free and relaxed to know she was in the best care - they literally adore cats and ... It made our holiday stress free and relaxed to know she was in the best care - they literally adore cats and the cat sitting for them is about being with your pet, caring for your fur baby and they put 150% into it. Honestly if they are free snap them up. I can’t recommend them enough. Even though I told them to not bother with cleaning or doing washing, the house was spotless! Anita and Jesse are amazing 💖

We are so pleased to have accepted Anita and Jesse to look after our house. What an amazing job. They went above and beyond to look after max the 4-month puppy with training and a vet visit. Walking Max everyday as well as photos and updates regularly. The house was left in excellent condition. Many thanks
Anita was outstanding from the beginning. As soon as we met her we knew she was a great match. She is a great communicator, and incredibly good with our dog Laya, who is getting on in years. She gave great care to Laya when her allergies surfaced, which they often do. She also sent regular updates of photos and videos. Day 2 being back from holiday and we can see Laya misses her. ❤️ Anita looked after our house beautifully too. We came home to an immaculate house and garden. Anita is a ... Anita was a wonderful pet-sitter/house-sitter. She looked after our cats really well, even our very shy cat soon became comfortable with her. She sent us some lovely photos and updates. Anita was a fantastic pet sitter who clearly adored my cats. She always made sure they were well fed, loved and cared for and even sent lots of photos whilst I was away. The house was left immaculate and she even went above and beyond by helping with my Airbnb and picking me up for the airport. I couldn’t recommend this sitter more. Snap her up!
