We called ourselves The Reliables as a bit of a giggle, but you really can rely on us to protect your property and fur babies 🐕🐈‍⬛🥰

We love experiencing other people's sanctuaries and see how they like to live and decorate their spaces, while having huge respect for the trust placed in us to protect their homes. We adore animals, so being able to spend time with more four legged friends is an unexpected bonus!

Hi everyone, we are a couple in our late 50's, early 60's with 4 children and 2 grandchildren, who have decided to shake things up and experience a more nomadic lifestyle. We recently gave up apartment living in Wellington, along with our public service jobs to go and volunteer in the Pacific for 14 months.

While in Rarotonga, we did a house sitting / pet sitting stint with 2 dogs and 3 cats and had such a wonderful experience that we have decided to make housesitting a permanent part of ... We're back in Wellington now, with our own transport and seeking to house-sit for at least the next few months. We're fit and active, clean and tidy non-smokers. We love animals, and have owned plenty in our lives, but none currently, so we look forward to meeting and fostering your fur babies during our stay.

Kalena and Chris were, once again, amazing!!! This is the second time we have had them care for our Doodle Tiff and Moggy Doug. Their communication is fantastic and we received updates and photos of the animals and they were once again treated to the spoils of Kalena and Chris! While we were away there was a weather event with significant flooding, and a civil emergency alert. We were assured that our animals and home were safe. Kalena and Chris have been fantastic for this 2 week house/petsit. We returned to a tidy house and a happy dog (Oscar) - whilst we were away overseas we received great communication as to where things were at with Oscar. They even left a couple of framed photos Oscar which was so nice. There was a bit of a glitch on our part at the beginning when we had to alter our travel plans at the 11th hour, but Kalena and Chris were very understanding about this. We thank Kalena & Chris for taking such good care of Shelby who looked a little anxious b4 we left. He had his first experience down on the beach and by looking at the photos he enjoyed it so very much. Looks like it's a new walk for me & Shelby. Communication was great & would highly recommended this couple to take care of Shelby again. Thank you for the nice pic of Shelby that you left for us.
Fabulous house sitters. They were great with communication and sent us pictures throughout. Our dog clearly had a great time with her. They also kept the house super clean and looked after our plants for us! Would have them back anytime!

Kalena and Chris are the loveliest people and amazing house sitters. They looked after our dog Rosie and our house and garden for five weeks. Great communication before and during the sit and Rosie ABSOLUTELY LOVED them. She had the best time with lots of love and lots of walks. Cannot recommend Kalena and Chris highly enough and would most definitely have them back to house sit again.
